What a joke of an article.

That person who wrote that is one sad individual.

I think there's a chance you may be proving the article right with your emotional reaction to it.

Still, this is tangential to why people don't like Lebron.

What are the basketball related reasons to not like him, besides being a Celtics fan?

lol. Like I said, that is a very sad article. Not talking to a group of people about a particular subject, solely because of their race?

Sounds racist to me.

After reading it again, it bewilders me that someone can hold that viewpoint and have the gall to call others racist.
Welcome to 2017 ;D

Race has nothing to do with why I don't like Lebron. And I find it sad that it would be brought up in a place where we all root for and respect players of all races and nationalities.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Yeah, you're definitely proving the point of the article. It's hard for me to imagine you read and understood the piece and would then write a response like this.

As for Lebron, I definitely think the hate he receives is disproportionate to his behavior but I don't think it's any more disproportionate than the type of hate guys like Tom Brady gets and Peyton Manning used to get.

That article is a joke, and I don't appreciate your "you don't understand it" comment.

I understand it, and vehemently disagree with it.

The author states they won't talk to a certain race of people, because they don't believe what they believe.

I personally find that appalling, and it bothers me there are people who think that is a reasonable thing to think.

She says in the article that the vast majority of white people have no idea what it's like to look at a black person as an equal.

I think that opinion is reprehensible.

Does basketball have anything to do with why you don't like him, or is it one of the other reasons that I've read like "I don't like his tattoo" or "I didn't like the Decision" or "I don't like the way his face looks".
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

This thread is getting pretty ridiculous. Some people don't like Lebron. Some people hate tom Brady and roger Clemens. Some people hate Durant and Steph curry. Race is not the reason why. Lebrons personality rubs a lot of people the wrong way and those people have explained it well. Accept that people have different reasons for not like particular athletes and stop assuming there are sinister motives.

Are you just ignoring most of the posts in this thread?

Seriously the guy is supremely arrogant and acts extremely entitled.

Stop trying to act like anyone in this thread is saying they don't like him because of his looks.

He acts like a a little baby out on the court.

He also has quit in some of the biggest moments of his career, and that is pathetic.

2017 is the first year that I've seen pictures of KKK members in color, not black and white. Strange time to be an American.

If that is the first time you had every seen that, frankly you haven't been paying much attention until now, at all.

I find that to be a ludicrous statement, particularly when you have spent the last few pages trying to insinuate people don't like LeBron because of his skin color, which is preposterous.

Off the court he seems like a nice guy and good family man. I’ve got no problems with him as a person.

I don’t “hate” him as a basketball player but I’m in no way of fan of his either.

1. I find him whinny. He throws his hands up or rushes the referees all the time. I know stars get calls but he really takes it to the limit of what I can stand.

2. He speaks of himself in 3rd person. “Lebron James doesn’t foul out of a game” would be an example of what he’s said about himself. And why exactly can’t Lebron foul out I may ask? You should foul out more often but the referees that you complain about protect you every game.

3. This ones not 100% on him but the coverage of ESPN and other sports media on him makes me want to puke. They talk about him 24/7 and have anointed him as the chosen one from day one. And they shove it down your throat. The “Chosen one” tattoo isn’t help much on his part.

4. I don’t think he’s as good as people say he is. Oh, he’s great and could play in any era. But he’s not a better passer then Bird even if tv people want to keep saying that. He’s not on the same level as MJ even if ESPN keeps beating that drum. I get sick of the hype. As with #3 this isn’t all his fault but I can’t help but pin some of it on him.

5. The Decision.  This was it for me. I can look past everything about him that kind of bothers me but I’ll never look past this one. That was the most arrogant, self absorbed junk I’ve seen in a long time. Actually, I refused to watch it live but have seen it online afterwards. People act like because he’s good or won championships that ‘The Decision” should be forgotten. I’m sorry, putting ball in the basket won’t make me forget you did a punk thing.

Now I had no problem with him going to Miami. He was a free agent and could go anyplace he wanted. But the TV show about it? Sorry but I can’t look past that.
Peace through Tyranny

I have always found his powder hand clap before games as nothing more than something to draw attention to himself. Very ego massaging. Also, there was a story and video a while back about how he treated the towel boys like crap and instead of handing the towels to them he just threw them anywhere.

These things always turned me off about him and added to my hate of the guy.

I also noticed that when he takes off his warm up shirt to check into a game, he throws it on the floor and away from the kids who are supposed to pick it up when he could just hand it to the kid or lob it toward him.

Just about all great players are egomaniacs. I'm sure Larry Bird was an egomaniac in his own way. But he played for my team so I don't see it or care. Lebron has played for two teams I can't stand and could possibly go to another one next year. So I'll sports hate him as a player all I want.

I wasn't what you call a yuge MJ fan back in the day either and I still hate Kobe.
