Still grinding away on the D-League. I know he is pretty  much an end of bench guy, but if Cavs keep bringing back D Jones every year, someone should be able to make room for Perkins to come in and deliver a few hard fouls in the playoffs and be a locker room guy.

Why is it sad? He is enjoying mentoring the younger players and getting some coaching experience and talks about planning for his career post basketball. What else should he be doing? He even acknowledges how different the game is then when he brought in and that he doesn't have the skills that would be needed. Seems like he is really realistic and grounded and doing what he loves. We should all be so lucky...

yeah that is my takeaway.  He is getting coaching experience while still staying in game shape so when he gets a call after buy outs he can join a playoff team and possibly help for a few minutes here and there and maybe get a shot at another ring.

I seriously doubt Perk will be suiting up for any NBA team ever again. Apparently fans cannot realize when a player's time has past either.

Good for Perk if he happy playing in the G-League. If he's really just there to mentor younger players that's nice. But if he's there to try to extend his playing career, that's kind of saddening to me.

I always like to see guys go out on top. Jordan playing for the Wizards was brutal and sucked to watch.
