He’s in the top 5 all time (dead or alive)

If Brown tops out at only 16/5/3/1.5 this board would go crazy.

Perhaps, but I would say a lot depends on scoring efficiency and defense.

If he's an elite defender (e.g. Danny Green / Andre Iguodala / RoCo level) and he's a deadly three point shooter with solid finishing from other parts of the floor, maybe getting to the line a few times a game ... 16-5-3 wouldn't be bad.  Not an All-Star, and certainly not in line with our highest hopes, but not terrible.

By no means am I suggesting he will do that, I'm just saying you can't go entirely off a basic box score line to say whether he's turned into a quality player or not.
a lot of people on this board believe Brown is a Paul Pierce level talent (not necessarily the same game but that talent level).  If that is Brown's peak there will be a lot of truly upset people.

I see some Jeff Green in his game, hot one and not so hot the others.  He has a great playoffs last year but something is amiss this year.

Just a fun bump from a couple years ago. Satisfying to see Brown realizing his potential. I still think he can get even better.

You'd probably take Lebron, Leonard, George, Doncic and Beal over Tatum and Brown.

I think they are at least close to Siakim, Mitchell, and Butler.

I think they are better all-around Booker, DeRozan, Wiggins, Ingram, Middleton, Harris, and Gallinari. Some might disagree. That's fine.

I'm taking a these names by play style from the shooting guard, small forward, and power forward positions on espn.com. I'm focusing on more wing-type players than primary ball-handlers, but I know the line is blurry.

We would all have different rankings, but these guys are making the leap into the top.

Lower end of the top ten, so I voted 9-10. Until he improves his handle, free throw shooting and consistency he'll stay in that 8-10 range
He listened to me! ;D

Its pretty interesting looking back two years ago at some of these responses. Now I'd say

Lebron
Doncic
Siakim
Butler
Harden
George
Kawhi
Beal
Thompson
Durant

Those guys are all better than Brown is but the last two are injured and we don't know what they will be when they come back.

Next I'd have..

Mitchell
Booker
Wiggins
Ingram

as all performing better than his so far this year. he may be the best of those guys on defense, but they are all putting up such great offensive numbers you really can't argue.

I'd have Brown at the front of the

Harris,
Gallo,
DeRozan
Middleton
McCollum
Murray

group as of now given that none of those guys really play a lot of defense. I knw people will argue for DeRozan, but he just doesn't actually effect winning enough for me. the spurs are better with him off the court.

So I guess you could say like 15th, but thats for like 3 actual positions worth of players given that the above list has smaller off guards like Murray/Beal, Medium sized skilled wings like George/Butler and larger power swings like Siakim/Lebron.

Also I consider Giannis/Simmons as bigs because they do 90% of their damage inside.

And of course theres a big asterisk that assume he can keep up like 90% of his current play level.

He's also younger than everybody above him but Luka and Ingram.

I don't think Jimmy Butler is 2 tiers above Brown right now.

I feel like he is in that group with Mitchell / Booker / Wiggins / Ingram.  He is the best two way player of that group.

Probably, and Hayward might be too. I honestly completely forgot abut him. I need to see more from him before I decide on his place in my ranking.
