I think the top  20 comment was patently absurd.  This article says otherwise.

Quote
3. Kyrie Irving, Boston Celtics

Last week's ranking: No. 4

Season stats: 22.8 points, 5.3 assists, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 47.6% shooting

The Celtics have lost two of their last four games, but still own the best record in the NBA at 18-4 — a testament to Irving, Al Horford, coach Brad Stevens, and the rest of this group that has exceeded even the loftiest of expectations. In the last six games, Irving ranks fourth in the NBA in scoring (28.8 points per game) and has shot 58.9% from the field and 46.7% from three.

He is in the top-10 in this league, agree?

Top-20, yes. Though barely.

Although some think Kyrie is also the 2nd/3rd best player in the East.

Lots of mixed thoughts.

barely top 20 kid? stop trolling jesus

Trolling? That's also what MOST media sites have him at.

I didn't know the Lord posted here.

Glad he is a Celtics fan.

Also, I think clearly top 20 is much more fair than barely top 20.

Is it really that different though? Like if Kyrie is 16-18th best in league, could that be classified as "clearly Top-20" or "barely"?

Curious. Who is in your Top-15 outside Kyrie?

In no particular order

Lebron, Curry, Harden, Davis, Cousins, Embiid, Greek Freak, Durant, Porzingis, Towns, Aldridge, Lilliard, Westbrook, a healthy Leonard (when he returns)

You can give or take some names there, but I'd say Kyrie is between 14-18 range somewhere (so Top-20, not Top-10).

Jaylen's having a really tough game.  Opposite of Tatum at times - tends to force things that aren't there.

Brown's propensity for turnovers is truly frustrating.
Although he’s had flashes this season, I think he needs another year to work out all these little mistakes.

Covington isn't having a great game but he'd be a good Celtic as a backup Wing.

u can remove quite a few names there. you just debunked yourself with that list.

Was gonna say the same thing. Let’s call him “barely top-10”. Lol

Lol trust me, I don't hate Kyrie like @Tarheels does, but objectively speaking, can you remove like 5-6 names from that list to put Kyrie Top-10?

It's hard for me honestly. Lots of talented names there.

Wow, that's a really bad charge call. Covington has the right to come down.
