Internet seems to think that Sacramento also sent a first round pick (not sure if it was their own, or another one) to New Orleans in the Boogie deal. I can't see what happened to that pick coz it is not incoming for New Orleans here:

https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/future_drafts/detailed

Did they trade it away? When?

I’m not sure what the question is.  What do you think is wrong?

New Orleans gave them their 2017 pick which wound up being the 10th overall pick in the 2017 draft.

The Kings traded that pick to Portland for the 15th pick (Justin Jackson) and the 20th pick (Harry Giles).

Okay now I understand. Sacto didn't trade any picks to New Orleans.

Yes.  I now see that it was just a ton of inaccurate bad reports piggy-backing off an inaccurate tweet by Marc Stein, which many news outlets never bothered to clarify. Thanks for that. TP

Just checking what the final haul from the trade was (Hield, Justin Jackson, Giles, Galloway, Evans), after seeing Cousins argue with refs after two no-calls, not running back on D, in two critical spots in the game. Anthony Davis was sitting on the bench at the time and must've been pulling his hair out.

He had a couple bone-head plays where he dribbled like Jamal Crawford at the three point line, threw up two late shot clock heaves after 20 seconds of you-are-fooling-no-one dribbling.

I would love to know what Danny offered for him, but it can't have been much, and my word that now looks like a savvy not-move in hindsight..

My guess is he never made an offer.  I simply don't believe DA wanted that bonehead on the C's.  This is coming from someone who was ready to take him so what do I know.

The guy is averaging 25.5 points / 12.6 rebounds / 5.4 assists / 1.7 steals / 1.6 blocks / .521 eFG%. His team is above .500 and would currently make the playoffs, despite a really poorly-constructed roster.  He’s got, by far, the best DRtg on his team.

But yeah, he picks up a tech on average every 3 or 4 games, the same as Dray Green.

I have no idea but I would bet $20 that Brad told Danny "no f'in way do I want Cousins on my team".

I am 100% sure this is what happened.  Cousins caused a significant internal disagreement, and ultimately the Celtics chose not to pursue him last year.

So, you would be keen to swing a trade if he guaranteed re-signing? You are still in the Boogie Nights?

P.S. Don't really get where you are going with the stats? His eFG is fine, nothing special though, but his NET rating is +1.1, so like, yeah fine, his D is good (although per nba.com, it seems Jrue and AD have a better defRG), and his shooting is OK too, but there are MANY players whose net rating is far higher. So, it just seems to me like a decent player playing with high usage. The roster problems are for real though - I will grant you that (and I can't see how they can dig their way out of that either), however I can't a see band of second stringers ready to play defense when they see their supposed defensive anchor getting up in the ref's face, 60 feet away from the play, in the backcourt, with GSW going on a run, in a 5 point game with 2 minutes left in the third. That is the guy I want to stay well and truly clear of. That is the guy that I wouldn't even trade Buddy Hield for on his own now, because at least Buddy keeps his head in the game during key stretches.

Cheers.

Great site for transactions. http://prosportstransactions.com

So it was Cousins and Casspi for Hield, Evans, Galloway, 10, and 34. Sacto traded 10 for Jackson and Giles and drafted Frank Mason at 34.

Boogie Cousins' attitude goes far beyond "gets a tech every 3-4 games". The guy physically threatened a 65 year old reporter and is constantly getting into pointless fights in the game.

Look at the mentalities of Ainge's draft picks.  Tatum/Brown/Smart ... these guys are mentally tough.

Cousins is probably the least mentally tough person in the league.  Im not sure there is another player who cries as much as this guy.

There is no way I want this guy on my roster.  Brad Stevens doesnt deserve having to deal with this kind of attitude.

He's also a ball stopper, who sulks, gives inconsistent effort, and take a lot of plays off defensively.

Tons of talent, but not a winning player.
