If the Celts lose this its all on Stevens. His rotation changes and substitutions have been beyond horrible thus far.

Smart needs to be sat down and told pass or drive.  Rozier same thing...pass or shoot an open 3.  That's your role on offense.  Nothing else!

Wasn't Dallas one of those places like OKC where Marcus traditionally played well?

Lol look where experimenting with dumb lineups and being cute with the minutes gets you. Ridiculous.

The Celtics have had one full practice since the season started, and zero since Morris came back, after the preseason work was largely wasted because Hayward got hurt.
Of course there are going to be weird lineups, because when else is Brad going to get to try them.

Besides, I’d much rather have a coach that tries a lot of different things in the regular season than just the couple things he knows work most of the time.  If that’s your style, go watch Scott Brooks in Washington.

Practice has nothing to do with it. He's went to this same full bench lineup that A TON of people (including national media guys like Zach Lowe) have been harping on since the beginning of the season.

It's not that difficult of a concept to stagger guys, which has been one of the few persistent criticisms that have followed Brad throughout his NBA tenure. He's always had difficulties with these types of rotation problems and leaving failing units in too long.

This has nothing to do with Hayward's injury and little practice time; it's been one of Brad's few weak areas for the last four years.

Agreed.

It just does not make sense to play units entirely comprised of bench players.  This isn't a difficult concept, and it's really bizarre that one of the better coaches in the league struggles with this.

Not a good 2 possession sequence by Tatum ending with the putback dunk.

Played like a rookie on Dirk's inside move.

Got the ball in position for the catch and shoot, drove and got bailed out.

Playing like the rookie he is.

Not a "hater" just pointing that out.

Brad staggers guys all the time.  Seriously, the Celtics’ starting 5 traditionally plays some of the fewest minutes together every year.

Take this year.  The Celtics most used lineup has played 70 minutes together.  Compare that to the Wizards, for example, who have their most-used lineup at 160 minutes and the next at 120 minutes.

The argument is that Brad staggers too much, not too little.
