Pretty clear that its celtics/philly as the future of the east.

Cleveland are a carton of milk in the hot sun. Just about to expire.
Kind of a mean thing to say about an expiring carton of milk in the sun

Hopefully that expiration date is this season, followed by Lebron heading West.

That's probably going to happen but also screw that. I want to take him down on our way up. For old times' sake.

Quote
"It sure looks Boston is the team of the future in the East," Kerr told reporters Tuesday. "Their assets, their young talent, their coaching, and Kyrie [Irving] is amazing. That looks like a team that's going to be at the top of the East for a long time to come. Whether their time is now or the future is to be determined, but they sure look like they want it to be right now."

Kerr has proven himself to be at least a decent to good coach.  I wonder if there isn't a bit of gamesmanship in this quote though.  He knows we are riding high on this win streak, it doesn't hurt to add a bit more fuel to the fire for the warriors for that game.  I don't think he is lying, but I think it is a bit of Belichickian praise for the upcoming opponent.

Yeah I totally want us to beat Lebron in the playoffs before he leaves Cleveland...we need to return the favor from these last losses to cleveland going back to 2012.

As much sense as that makes, I'd rather beat the hell out of Lebron until he cries a flood of tears as we slam shut his window to contend right in his face.

But whatever. I'll gladly cheer as the C's beat other teams too.

I don’t usually do this, but: this.

The only thing that worries me for our long term outlook is our bigs.

How will Horford age?  I think well, but you never know from year to year as you get into your 30’s.  Longer down the road in 2 plus years when his contract will expire who will be his replacement, or will we just re-sign Horford.  He’s playing at an all star level now so he won’t be easily replaceable.

I like Baynes a lot and he fits perfect next to Horford against bigger teams, but he is only signed to a 1 year deal.  I hope we re-sign him and wished Ainge locked him up on a 2 or 3 year deal.

Morris may only be stopgap help signed through next season.

Ainge is a savvy GM though so he’ll figure this all out.

let's take down lebaby this year! we have lost to him the last 3 times we have faced him in playoffs. The cavs losses do not really bother me but 2012 did.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

I agree.  Sure the C's deserve a lot of credit but Kerr is actually talking to HIS team when he praises the C's.

It'll be interesting if the Celtics bookend the prime of Lebron's career. They were on top and he couldn't beat them (2008, 2010). Then he superteamed and had his incredible run (2011-2017???). Would be cool to see the Celtics jump back on top for 2018-onward.

Agreed.  more of a message to his own team than a compliment to ours
