Found this video. Thought it was funny.

Wish he went to the basket more like Jordan.

can you blame him?  It is a fundamentally sound release. Everyone (who can't shoot or wants to learn how to shoot) should try to copy it

He is a 6'2 with a good but nothing crazy vertical jump.  isn't crafty like kyrie to finish around the basket

not strong enough to finish through contact

It was fun to see how closely he mimics the release and some of the moves--I think he will continue to grow --thanks

He's 6'2 with long arms and great vertical.  His ability to get a good look is light years ahead of Smart, but he's not yet much better at putting the ball in the basket.  I think he has more potential because of his ability to get the shot off.

The question is, can he beat LaVar Ball 1 on 1?

not strong enough yet and not able to control his speed - both may come.  As for his leap it is explosive without the ball, as often seen by his spectacular rebounds.  He has room for growth in nearly all aspects of the game.  Already absorbing from Kyrie.

Jumping with and without the ball is not the same

Look at Smart for example. Much better leaper without the ball

Rozier is a snappy leaper without the ball. Very good rebounder. Havent seen the same finishing around the basket

Yes I agree that is what I was trying to say--but with optimism that he will grow and one day finish better.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think 1 key to unlocking much more growth in his game is more confidence/better ball handling in traffic and one on one.  There are so many times where I think he can get a step on his man with the dribble but he pulls the ball back.   If he was more aggressive in those situations with his first step, speed, and athleticism it could unlock his potential.

It's frustrating to watch because you can see a path for him to drive, and he doesn't do it often.
