  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Well, if players keep going down for an extended period of time, Theis will surely get more playing time. And with Brad Stevens as our head coach, we will finish #1 no matter what.

Theis for MVP is an easy call. I'll take those 999-1 odds!  :D

What are the odds on him being GOAT? I'm all in on that! First game he played I thought, "Bill Russell, who?!"
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I think they need to redo the song Ice Ice Baby to Theis Theis when he scores and play it.

Celtics got a steal in Theis. I thought he was just signed for a training camp body, so he has certainly become a pleasant surprise. Watching him, he just really knows how to play the game of basketball. He never tries to do too much, defends the pick and roll very well, always contests shot at the rim, and has shown glimpses of an outside game as well. Wont be surprised to see him as a solid bench guy in this league for years to come.

Dare i say Greg Stiemsma with more offensive polish?

That's great.

I have enjoyed him.  I think he of course has his limits but he plays within himself.  He has a pretty good feel for rolling, passing, and even some shooting he has shown at times.  He is a solid big man to bring in off the bench.  I was anticipating relying on Zizic to play minutes but he has been nice to see step up and play well.

He really is quite Birdman like to me (which I say as a fan of Birdman when he was good) but he also has some shooting and I think some ability passing and with a feel for the game.  Not that he is like Horford, but he knows when to swing the ball and how to handoff pretty well.

Also: the only way I would use Vanilla Ice to refer to someone is an insult.  Have more respect for my man Theis.

Theis is who Greg Stiemsma wishes he was.
