Unleash semi and  yabusele

Semi maybe, unleashing yabusele =tanking because right now he is a project.

I read Tatum is in a boot for soreness.  If they really suspected a bone break folks, I doubt he would be walking around in a boot.   These guys health is their livelihood and they are valuable assets.  You just don't take chances with their health.  I could be wrong but that makes logical sense to me, that they would be err on the side of caution, with a player rather than its broke here is a boot for you to limp around and damage it more.
Ainge was on SportsHub today morning. He said the ankle isn't broken so they're hoping for soft tissue injury.

Can we verify this with a link? I won't let my guard until we do.

Sorry, what's this say?

Danny Ainge told @985TheSportsHub Jayson Tatum had X-rays on injured ankle. No fractures or breaks. "He just has, we're hoping, a soft tissue injury in the ankle joint, which sometimes can take a while. We'll have a better feel of that when we get the images back today." #Celtics

What is the range of issues with a "soft tissue injury" in that area? Also, he doesn't seem too sure that's it's for sure a soft tissue injury, but what else could it be if no fractures or breaks were found?
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Some fractures/breaks aren't visible on X-rays. That's my guess is what he means, its not a break that we could see on X-ray.

Did anyone see something happen? They just announced him out on the telecast, but there was no mention of a specific in-game incident that caused the injury.

He (Jayson) told Brad that he doesn't know how it happened. Who knows so let's not speculate until we find out more.

I'm pretty sure he has a compound fracture.  ::)

Soft tissue injuries (STI) are when trauma or overuse occurs to muscles, tendons or ligaments. Most soft tissue injuries are the result of a sudden unexpected or uncontrolled movement like stepping awkwardly off a curb and rolling over your ankle.
However, soft tissue damage can also occur from excessive overuse or chronically fatigued structures, especially muscles and tendons. For example, if you were to do a long run when already fatigued (from a previous run or exercise), then it is possible to cause trauma or a strain to key running musculoskeletal structures like your calf muscles or achilles tendons, also see: “How to prevent running injuries”.

Yeah, it’s possible his body just wasn’t ready for playing so many minutes at such a high pace. If Hayward was healthy, and Tatum eased into his role , he may have not had an issue with the foot

I don't know. In my mind, a hairline stress fracture that doesn't show up on the Xray sounds like a worst case scenario, but what do I know.

Just the sheer number of games. I believe Tatum even mentioned the grind in an interview earlier this season.

Basically a game every other day till the season is done on average.

In fairness, I don't think we needed to play him almost 40 mins in back-to-back games early on. But in-game management is not Brad's strength, so we'll have to live with that.

just think there is too many games period .

No back to back and three a week max .

the games are much better if the teams get practice and recovery time for their bodies.  At last I think so .  Give them a few days to prepare minds and body .  It gets to where they are playing against not getting hurt enemy rather than the oppoent.

I t hink reducing the amount of games to help with above would make playoffs even more intense and exciting .  Having more great players available and healthy makes more, sense to me as a fan .
