It seems to me that we are wearing teams down and then unleashing the Kyrie in the fourth quarter.

What do you think?

Mello played awful defense, he switched and never stuck with his man .   Dude is cooked ,  his leg maybe hurting again ...sign when his shooting goes south and he avoids playing defense.

Mello played a very bad game all around. He is looking old. When things slow down in the playoffs I think he will be more effective.

Wait a minute. Things slow down in the playoffs?

After watching last night's game I do think we are wearing opposing teams down, BUT we are a MUCH different team than last year, too.

We still have Marcus as the Resident Pest.

Marcus MORRIS is added into the mix and gave us 9 much needed points last night.

We NOW have Aron taking on the MUCH-NEEDED role of a slightly better offensively Kendrick Perkins. Players bounce off of this man. If Greek Freak couldn't throw it down over him just last week then that proves that he is nearly an immovable object. He won't wow us athletically but dude is a bruiser.

Smart, MM and Aron on floor at same time? BRUISE BROTHERS.

Aron's addition is giving Big Al much needed joy. He seems free-er, now...

Opponents do NOT want to get in a poster with Jaylen Brown....plus, dude pulled in 12 rebs last night in 31 min...

Jayson is showing signs of greatness - in spurts only. But tell that to our opponents who do NOT know when he could go off. And he is just a ROOKIE....

Kyrie is Kyrie. I was a staunch opponent of him coming to BOS but I'm slowly climbing on the bandwagon. I look at CLE and how they MISS his offensive punch. AND I look at how he is seemingly picking and choosing WHEN to take over games for US, now...

LeBron James will NOT put up 50+ points every single game.

Even while missing GH, we are seemingly STILL coming at opponents in MULTIPLE ways..

Looking forward to seeing how much damage this team will do this season.

I was surprised to see that the Celtics are 26th in the league in pace after these first 9 games. It feels like they play much faster.

Placement between teams doesn't indicate whether we're playing fast or slow, it simply means that others have been playing faster regardless of how fast we're playing.

Now, I don't know what our pace is and what not and how it compares to other years.

Very good point.  Our team averages only 1 less possession per 48 mins than last year.  We ranked 13th in pace for 2016-17.  The league average has increased by 3 possessions per 48 minutes so far this season.

For context, the Celtics are averaging 95.8 possession per 48 minutes this season (26th).

That's slower than 2017 (96.8, 13th) which was slower than 2016 (98.5, 4th).

The funny thing is, in 2015 they had the same pace as this year so far (95.8) but were 5th in the league. So the league has sped up a lot these last few seasons. Still, I was surprised to see the Celtics rank where they do in pace so far.
