Never mind the box score, never mind the shooting, he’s positively attrocios leading the offense.  How many times must be drive into the lane wildly and either get stuffed or throw up some wild shot.  I’ve coached recreational basketball for a number of years and Marcus reminds of the kids that never played before and just throw the ball up with their eyes closed.

My goodness.

I will say this.

Love Smart, and yes he does make winning plays.

But if he continues to look relatively cold on offense (not shooting great) and gets payed like more than 4/80M+ in RFA elsewhere, I think he's gone.

LOL.  Idk if he's the worst offensive player, ever, as you can't forget Ben Wallace and Dennis Rodman, for example, but in terms of being the worst among guards, well, yeah, unfortunately.

I don't know if I can really call Smart an offensive liability, especially when the team makes a huge run with him on the court. Shooting is only one part of the offense.

Roberson, meanwhile couldn't even shoot a free throw.

I think I know who the worst poster ever is though. BTW, coach(lol) it is spelled "atrocious".

He seems to be shooting less, especially when he is half-open. He is still taking 4.5 threes a game. That is too many.

Absolutely NOT. He is a team player. Offense includes passing the ball which he has been doing quite well this year. He hits big shots when we need them. He is a winner and I don't care what his percentage is.

Oh hell yeah, a recreational basketball coach! Should we contact Happy Walters? Would you be willing to share your expertise with Marcus?

the good thing about smarts preseason being a fluke is that we probably can afford to re-sign him now. he probably wont command avery bradley money without the offense..

smart is jeckyll and mr hyde...you love his defense, his hustle, passing. its contageous to the team....BUT you cringe everytime he takes a shot...unless its with 1 second on the shot clock left from 3...

I like him too, but I am honest he is not the best shooter.   But he does have that streakiness that can take over a big game like Hubie Brown said last night.

But he needs to raise his shooting percentages across the board by 5% up and FG should go about 10 points.

FG%    3p%         FT%
30.1    29%         68.2

I love his D, his 50/50 plays and his hustle.  But sometimes he could not make 2 with a pencil he is such a bad shooter.
