he was a forgotten man in the bradley trade. People acted like we gave bradley up for nothing. but we get a guy who averaged 12ppg for him. and it was pretty obvious we werent going to be able to pay bradley 20mill

He has actually averaged 14ppg the last two seasons (only helps your point). I loved the trade at the time; I have had my eye on that Morris contract for a couple of years now - it was the only one that rivaled Crowder's for non-rookie/vet min contracts.

I am still a little skeptical of his offensive game, but hopefully he will bring some toughness, veteran leadership, and needed scoring. The 2nd half last night was a good start.

From the little I saw he was very active and versatile, nice trade by Ainge when the writing was on the wall that we could not keep Bradley.

Love what he brings. Yes, rusty early on, but if we have he starting lineup (or at least primary lineup) of Irving/Brown/Tatum/Morris/Horford, that is a long, versatile and athletic group on both ends. Size is somewhat overrated in the NBA but it’s still pretty **** important. Length at every slot, a little undersized at the 4-5 but not tremendously. Baynes is there if needed too.

Morris is gonna be huge against teams like this, San Antonio, Cleveland, golden state and others with elite long small forwards.
