Jayson Tatum was born on March 3, 1998. He's currently 19 years old.

So... he was born just TWO DAYS AFTER me... :o

Makes me feel a bit strange.

Like..  what am I doing with my life now LOL. Meanwhile, Tatum (2 days younger than me) is out here leading the Celtics to a dynasty....  :P

Shut the heck up. :)

I have CHILDREN older than Tatum. And you feel bad?   ;D ;D ;D

PS - [dang it], Nick beat me to it.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Friday night game and I couldn't stay up long enough to watch the second half come back.

Since having kids I've measured my age in dog years.  One year equals seven.

If I were a great long term NBA player I’d be in the last year of elite starter potential. Like, it’s unlikely but I could still make an all-star team if I were like a Duncan/KG/Kobe level player. My best skill is bbq.

LOL   let's just say I am several years older than the oldest NBA player right now vince carter.

Look at how much better Jayson is than Jaylen was last year at this time, consider the leap that Jaylen has taken since then, and imagine how good Jayson could be next year.

Tatum's potential is a 25-28 PPG with 8-10 RPG and hopefully good defense! (Pierce 2.0)  ;D

Jaylen to me is J. Butler (22-24 PPG, 5-7 RPG, 5-7 APG) w/slightly better 3 pt. %'s and more explosiveness.  ;D

The thing I love about them both too is that they are versatile as well.
Just to get on the right side of expectations here... Pierce never averaged 27 ppg and only averaged 26 twice in his 19-year career. Or anything close to 10 rpg for that matter.

Haha! I've found a key turning point is when u start calling the players "kids".   Happened for me a few years ago. That's when u know your fandom has crossed an age line that there's no coming back from.  😄😄😄👍

I'm 31. When people talk about Horford being past his prime, it makes me feel bad.

I was 31 in 1991, you're not getting any sympathy.

:D

I think it's one of the reasons I'm so defensive of Horford deserving a max contract.

The Celtics last few minutes of offense centered around 19 year old Jayson Tatum.

DANG... making me feel bad even more haha!

But fabulous game from the rookie and much needed! Even if he doesn't win ROTY b/c of Simmons, he's ROTY to me.  8)

Yeah, that was pretty funny when Tatum was chilling at the short corner, then Marcus started screaming at him to come and initiate the pick and roll. Tatum was like "oh, Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline., really? OK, coming.."
