There will inevitably be losing streaks this season. But the way the first 24 hours of the season went, you could easily see this team skidding before picking up the pieces. Those guys have a lot to be proud of.

Stevens coached a team whose best player was experiencing personal tragedy and is now coaching another team whose star suffered a devastating injury minutes into the season. He’s a great leader

7-2 and first place in the entire NBA?

I thought we would be good, but that was before the Hayward injury.

To see the team bounce back this way and show that mental toughness makes it even more amazing accomplishment!

I mean just look at Kyrie and Al tonight.  They 'closed out' the game when it was crunch time.

And to come back down from 18 in the first place, shows this team never gives up.

Loving our young Celtics!  It appears we have the right mix of talented youth and strong veterans.

Baynes has also been the big that we have needed.  What a great, under the radar signing for the Celtics!!

Kyrie is displaying MVP-Pedigree. He is showing what he can do with a competitive team around him.

Big props to MM. Have not watched game yet but I DVR'd it and have watched some highlights. Appears as if we needed those 9 pts of his.

THIs team is an absolute joy to watch! Of course, the winning has helped. But the defense has been great. And when the offense comes together, it’s been great too. Is this team better than last year? Even without Gordon Hayward, I would say so.

Pretty cool.  Kyrie is much better than I thought.  Now imagine our late-game offense running through Hayward (rather than Smart) with Kyrie at the 2, and Horford spacing the floor... that is a dangerous attack.  And Jaylen, Tatum have been ridiculous at their age.

I'm very impressed.  I am so happy we have Al Horford.  One of my favorite players, no doubt.

Kyrie is winning me over with his cool and calm execution down the stretch.  I just believe it's going in when he drives and lays it up.

It's different than with IT -- it was always hard to believe what IT was doing.  With Kyrie it feels like it should work out; it feels like he believes it should work out.


This level of success surely won't last, but this run in the wake of what happened with Hayward is really heartening.  Tatum looks like a really good top 3 pick and Jaylen is turning out as well.

Really glad that they're playing so well after how everything began.

The win against the Thunder showed this team is as special as Celtics fans had hoped. Kyrie's passing is the thing that catches my attention more than anything else. There are so many good things going on with this team but these amazing sharp and progressive passes are the thing that I can't read and get amazed by.

Back to the main point of the OP. The whole team is proving that they are great players, Stevens is a great coach and DA has been a great wheeler and dealer. I feel confident it will continue.

Is now everybody clear about Irving-Thomas switch? I think it's more than clear we have the better one. Kyrie is a natural-killer. He's invisible, and then he rips you off in 2 minutes. Great move Danny! Thx a lot.
