Brad Stevens says Gordon Hayward's hard cast has been removed and that he's now in a boot.

progress folks, progress.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Not a health professional by any means, but from my experience...

The hard cast probably was wrapped as high as to his knee to keep the entire leg stable.
If he's in a boot now, it's significantly lower than the cast, and with much more available range of motion.
Doubt he's at the point where he can put weight on the foot itself, but he should be able to move the ankle gently and definitely bend his knee comfortably.

Likely, he's at the point now where he'll be moving around on a one-leg scooter.

thanks! also does that also mean he's ahead of schedule in some aspect? I still think he's out the entire season, but 2 weeks has passed already, and i think the time table was 6 weeks to put weight on his ankle?

The cast wasn't above the knee. He has had the one leg scooter for a while now. His wife loves IG, I see pics and IG Stories every day pretty much. The kids get the most shine.

It's okay we'll get him back just in time for the Finals vs. the Warriors  8)

So my impression of this is that this is a routine part of his recovery. Nothing compelling. TP

The finals?  ::)

The team is massively underperforming expectations and seems to be calling it in. Everyone called them a great team over the off-season and it's gone to their heads.

No way the Warriors make it to the finals.

Not a health professional but I have some experience in leg injuries.

It could likely mean that he's ready to put a bit of weight on the ankle. The boot helps distribute his body weight so it's not fully on his ankle. It's basically day 1 of physical therapy with the long term goal of being to walk normally.

Probably just means it was starting to stink and his wife insisted he be able to get his whole self in the shower.

Not everything is news.

Keep smiling and get well, GH.

Don't rush yourself. Triple 007 has a License to Kill and they'll hold the fort down until you get back this season.
