The Celtics, our Celtics, these Celtics, this 2017-2018 Kyrie Irving Jalen Brown Jayson Tatum Terry Rozier Al Horford Boston Celtics team, is bringing home Banner #18 this year. This Year.

Some of you old-timers know me from the old Usenet days. When asked for a prediction at the season's start, it became a sort of joke that I'd always predict 41 wins. That was back in the Dino Radja days, the Jeff Green days. Not this year, They're Winning It All This Year, with many more to come. I truly believe Mssrs. Ainge , Stevens and Grousbeck have forged a new dynasty, one to join Russ's, Dave's and Larry's.

LeBron? I laugh. Curry? I chuckle. Bring 'em. I guffaw. The Celtics will be the 2018 NBA Champions, come June.

Not me. No way we can keep up with the fire power of the Warriors. Maybe next year when Hayward is back and the youngsters have had another year of growth. That I could believe, for us to win it this year almost a miracle has to happen.

Love it!!!! If nothing else your prediction is an indicator of how exciting it is to be a fan of the Celtics right now.  This is the first time in quite a while that  I can logically see a path to a title within a two or three year window.  My brain finally matches what's in my heart lol

What I told to friends in September was that we will be in the Finals.

With Hayward injured I think we will be short of scoring and leadership in the playoffs - but I applaud the OP's optimism.

But I think we would need Hayward to return sometime in March and shake off the rust by the second round to have a chance at making noise.

I think we have looked very promising after the first two games, but who exactly have we beaten? Knicks? Sixers? Spurs without Kawhi? Miami without Whiteside? I guess Milwaukee is a good windy the MECCA.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but let’s pump the brakes. The team is fun to watch and you see different guys stepping up each night. I like that they contained the Zinger (12 points against us, 30+ in every other game) and the Greek Freak they handled much better second time around. Defense looks good. Ball movement looks good. Kyrie and Al working well together. Tatum looks like a stud. Brown looks much more improved/confident. But ready to contend? I don’t know.

Brad has them gelling and it’s very sad that they won’t be at full strength for the foreseeable future.
