If he spends more than 2 games there I'd be worried. I know he can't be happy with that.

As a player with more than two years of NBA experience, he could have rejected the assignment.  I’m sure he’d rather be NBA-ready today, but if it really upset him, he wouldn’t have to go, with the Celtics disallowed from retaliating in any way (and likely we’d never know he refused an assignment at all).

Good. I'd like to see the D-League get used more like the minor league in baseball, with players that are recovering from injury getting back up to game speed (or close) there, and hopefully more draftees/prospects choosing to play there (if Adam Silver gets his way)
I'm bitter.

Oh I didn't know he could reject it, but still I can't imagine it would sit well if he was encouraged either by Stevens or the medical staff to go to the G-League and his response was "No."

It may not come out publicly but being that the C's are having success without him, it would be easy to retaliate through limiting his minutes under the guise of "He's still not all the way back yet".

Exactly, given his years of service, he had to approve of being sent there.

The fact that he approved suggests to me some self-awareness of needing to get in shape.   Makes me wonder how far out his conditioning got to, what with first the trial and then the injury.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Well considering he's been injured, and hasn't even been practicing or playing with the team at all in scrimmages, I can safely say with certainty, that Morris just like Irving, and Hayward, has bought into our culture. He knows he's not going to always see starter minutes, but as long as he gets the right incentive, I don't think their will be any issues. He even said during SL, that he joked that Tatum could outplay him and Hayward for the 3 and 4 spot.

Yep, I forgot about that rule. Parker is also in the same boat. Its interesting to see Pop and Stevens both implementing similar methods. Great minds think alike! ;)

Going to Portland this weekend for a fundraiser on Sat, and my wife got us Redclaws tickets for this Sunday. I hope he's playing!

This is great, we did the same with AB. You do it so that they can get in game shape and a rhythm against inferior players. It's better than sending them in right away against the best talent in the world who are all up to speed and in game shape. We should have done it with AB last season too, IMO. I wouldn't be surprised to see us do it if GH makes his way back and the GL season is still going on.

Smart.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I though he was supposed to be there for a game and suit up for the Celtics on Wednesday. Then realized Red Claws season doesn't start until Nov 3. Now I'm confused.

He just practiced with them today, because Brad mentioned that he wanted to see him in a hard practice first before letting him play. They already recalled him and sent Bird back to the G league, so I would imagine that he plays limited minutes tonight and gets more into the rotation on Wednesday.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
