Don't know if this is true but haven't there been studies on identical twins  -his brother had knee surgery after trial.

It's a combination of the knee pain and being way out of shape.  Brad has no incentive to play Morris until he proves to be in game ready condition.

Not in basketball shape, no need to rush him

He has a knee injury and isn't in game shape. In the meantime we'll keep on forcefeeding minutes to Jaylen and Tatum, who are looking spectacular as an under-21 wing duo.

knee injury and no preseason

When Marcus is fit and ready he will play

As of now Tatum and Brown are playing well so i'd like to see them continuing to get heavy minutes

Perhaps they are delaying his come-back because this year's medical staff  is more attuned to a player's injury status. One that waits to make sure a player has healed enough so as not to reinjure himself.

We've already seen them keep Marcus Smart out for a couple games in what appeared to be a minor ankle injury. In previous years he likely would have played through the pain.

What used to bother me about the previous training staff was there were times when players were cleared to play when they were in obvious pain. What baffled me even more was Brad seemed to be oblivious to their ineptness and kept putting these injured players in the games. Hopefully, the previous staff didn't carelessly put Isaiah's career in jeopardy by clearing him to play while he had a serious hip injury.

Might also be that management has instructed this medical team to be more conservative and proactive in their treatment approaches.

And, of course, Marcus could be seriously hurt and any medical staff would have held him back.

Why rush back when Tatum is doing a great job manning the fort.

No reason whatsoever to stop playing Brown/Tatum big minutes once Morris comes back. I believe Morris (when healthy) is gonna start instead of Baynes.

1 : Kyrie
2 : Brown
3-4 : Tatum
3-4 : Morris
5 : Horford

Push the tempo on offense and switch everything on defense (while trying to hide Kyrie on the least-threatening guard).

Any chance he's part of a trade with Philly and is being held out to prevent a potential injury that could upset the talks?

No reason to worry about it.  Let him get healthy.  I think he can be quite useful and let Jaylen play a more comfortable role not having to shoot so many jump shots.

You think Morris will touch Tatum' s minutes? :) We need him so that we don't have to play scrubs like Semi, Larkin, and to an extent Theis.

Why would they trade Morris to Philly?

I was actually impressed with Semi's defense (albeit in limited minutes) against the Greek Freak. He had great lateral quickness to stay in front of him and also the size to keep him from overpowering him in the post. Sure Giannis could have gotten off a turnaround jumper due to his length over Semi, but I'd give him that shot over a layup at the rim any day.
