This without Russell playing for the Nets right?

You would have thought the Cavs would blow them out of oblivion to help with the Nets pick they own.
The Nets are a dangerous squad to go up against since they havee no incentive to tank..just go out and play and overachieve in the tankagerous Eastern Conference.

They had no incentive to tank either of the last two years and they were the worst overall team over that period, even worse than teams WITH an incentive to tank.  Theyre just a better team this year

The nets have been playing very impressively without Russell and Lin. If they keep it up, it'll be funny to see if the cavs pick around 11th. Lol. Kyrie for broken IT 4 month rental, Crowder, zizic, and Lamar Peters

Nets will be a scrappy - and improved - team this year.....much to the chagrin of the Cavs lol.

I can see them winning 35 games if they stay healthy.

 LeBron player 41 minutes had a triple-double, Nets were without there two best players and they still lost. Now that's funny. Crowder had 5 points and 1 rebound. JR Smith had two points and old man Wade didn't play.

I'll chalk this up as team coming in is down best 2 players and they a bottom dweller already Cavs probably looked past this one.

Sometimes a down team plays up and catches you. This will happen this season to Celtics and there will be panic threads here.

Remember how bad it felt when the Cs still had the Nets picks and we'd lose a game to them? Ouch, Cleveland. Ouch. Imagine what happens if the Nets make the 8 seed. As of this morning they have a winning record. This is probably a mirage, but who knows; there are a lot of bad teams out there this year.

OTOH - geez, the Lakers beat the Wizards?

There are two ways to look at this as the Cavs.

1. It is no big deal, early in the season, some players are out, etc.  I mean the Warriors got crushed by the Lakers early in the season last year, how'd that work out for both teams.

2. This game clearly shows the holes/flaws the Cavs have and is indicative of the struggle they will have all year long and even into the playoffs. 

It is probably something between the two extremes and the Nets are obviously an improved team (as I have been predicting all off season).

Yeah Nets probably won't have the worst record only because there are so many eastern teams tanking as well.

I wonder if losing Lopez won't hurt them as much as I thought just because he didn't fit the team's style and now they can all in on the smaller quicker game.
