On ESPN's 'The Jump', Jackie MacMullan & Paul Pierce made their bold predictions for this current season with PP saying that Oklahoma City Thunder will win the NBA title and Westbrook winning MVP and more interestingly MacMullan predicts that Anthony Davis will be wearing Celtics green.

If you were the Pelicans GM and AD asked to be traded at the end of the season what would you want? What teams could offer a package to rival Ainge's assets?

All the comments going crazy at PP are a bit weird to me.

I see his prediction that Westbrook will double up on MVP's as far more out there than the Thunder hoisting a banner.

I could see them doing it, assuming all three of their stars play their best, their role players support the right way and Donovan doesn't drop the ball. It'd be tough to get past the Warriors, Rockets and Spurs out West, then beat the Cavs or Celtics in the finals, but I don't think it's as crazy as the people in the comments section are making it out to be.

A fan of Jackie Mac's prediction ;D

I don't think either are far off predictions. The Thunder need some more depth and some role guys to step up big but PG as a second and Melo as a third option? It's scarier than people realize.

Yeah, the big thing is that, one, PG13 is one of the top two-way players in the league (so he helps on defense too). Second, when Westbrook sits, the offense can keep its rhythm and won't blow leads every time he sits (Melo and George can keep it going). Or even if 2 players sit for short spurts, the one guy who is out there can take care of the scoring for the time being.

While I think Jackie has somewhat lost her fastball from recent years, she's still a great reporter and I think we should take this a bit seriously.

Jackie was pretty spot on thinking (back in late July-early August) that if a deal for Irving had to involve Isaiah, Crowder, and a pick, the C's should pull the trigger, and she said there's a reason you had to attach assets for Isaiah and not Irving (b/c Irving is looked at as the "better player" to most).

She also didn't think George or Butler was ever coming here but felt confident that Hayward was.

She also predicted at the beginning of last season, that LaMarcus Aldridge would be on the trade market at the deadline (which was a real bold take), and while he wasn't at the trade deadline, it became increasingly obvious Aldridge didn't like his fit there and look, Spurs somewhat shopped him this past summer, and they could again at the deadline if Aldridge's fit still looks real iffy. Jackie was one of the first out there to believe this, and it came out true (Aldridge and Spurs fit not as ideal).

Most of these are tidbits from all the videos on CSNNE from Arbella Early Edition and w/e.

While I doubt an AD trade happens IN-SEASON (as Jackie says), we should look out for next summer esp. if Pelicans suck and Lakers Pick conveys.

I actually predicted Wizards coming out of the East, before i saw the preseasons, and I was unsure how healthy the Cavs team will be, IT being out for 3-4 months, Rose's knees etc

and I still believe like many others, GSW most likely wins their 3rd in 4 years

I love OKC's big four (Westbrook, PG13, Adams, Melo) ... I just don't think they have enough quality depth around those guys to win a title this season. Their core - their main four guys - are definitely Championship caliber. They did a great job bringing them together. Now they just need to work on filling those spaces around them.

Idk how to feel about bringing in AD iF we had the opportunity. Issue is we would have to trade someone away and I love how we looked preseason. We have a FULL TEAM ALREADY. I'm not a Horford fan and I can even see how he's key to how things are flowing.  It's crazy but I'm not formtrading anyone right now not even for lebron James. 😔
