Celtics have had a staff member with Marcus during the trial running workouts with him. I would be surprised if he didn't play a few minutes on Friday.
Like Roy, I pretty much expected this outcome. The victim had a changing story and clear motive to lie (money). The victim's companion, who was the other main witness, had also boasted of money she'd get from the incident. The other witnesses gave conflicting testimony as to who was involved, and some of them had been approached by the victim with offers of money to change their stories.
I'd have been shocked if Markieff and Bowman were convicted. No one, including the victim, indicated Markieff participated in the actual assault. I don't even think Bowman was at the scene. And there was enough conflicting information about Marcus that I have doubts as to how involved he was. The accuser did not seem trustworthy.
