Ridiculous that Kyrie is that low - especially behind Lowry, Kristaps, Mike Conley and Blake (who are 21-24).

I'd put him ahead of a bunch of the guys in the top 20 as well....

Hopefully this puts a nice IT sized chip on his shoulder for the season...

Kyrie dropped 10 spots from last season's rank because....? These rankings are questionable, at best.
2021 Houston Rockets

SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington

The Sports Illustrated rankings were just as awful as these. Created for the sole purpose of controversy a.k.a clicks.

I don't see a huge problem with Kyrie being behind Hayward. They had very similar production and efficiency last season, with their scoring differential attributable to Kyrie taking more shots. They're definitely on the same tier.

I'd probably have them both somewhere around 15th to 20th, so this isn't all that egregious to me.

I agree with Roy that both should be inside the top 20, but not like way inside.

I realize the dissension is with Kyrie being at #25, but seeing Hayward at #20 while Butler and George come strolling in at #11 and #13, respectively, is a little annoying.

I guess the Cs have the all-underrated team (Horford is the definition of this)...so that is cool.

So they have Kyrie as what, the 9th point guard behind Curry, Westbrook, Harden, Paul, Wall, Lillard, Lowry, and Conley?

Kind of puts into perspective how overrated he is on this blog. Not saying he should be THAT low, but I voted on one of the those polls of where he ranks as a PG and chose 7th and at the time, I was the only one here that had him that low. Almost everyone else had him top 5.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

George is.  I think Hayward will be better than Butler this season; that said, I'm not high on Butler - Bradley won the head to head matchup against him in the playoffs let's not forget...

I bet the moment that a guy gets on our team his rating drops, such is the way of the media.

Bradley averaged 16/4/3/1.3/0.2.  Butler averaged 22.7/7.3/4.3/1.7/0.8.  Bradley shot better from 2 and 3.

Yeah I was stumped when I saw Kyrie go from #15 last year to #25 this year.  Then I looked at his numbers and saw that he went from averaging 19.6 ppg. to 25.2 ppg. and was even more confused.  At first I thought it was due to him joining the Celtics because to me it seems like people can rant and rave about a player and then as soon as they join the Celtics they start focusing on their flaws more.  I always felt like they did that with KG when he joined the Celtics.

But then I noticed they put Hayward quite a bit higher this year than last year, so not sure what to do with that.

DeMarcus is way up there. Interested to see how he and the Pelicans do this year. They're still thin at the guard and wing positions, but the twin tower dominance potential is intriguing nonetheless.

Will we ever get a tower?

Putting kyrie behind kyle lowry and Mike Conley proves how worthless this thing is
