It's be good move for the Lakers. They have a lot of young guys. Good to have a good veteran around them. Would have been a nice addition to Cs.

At this point, keep the roster spot open going into the season. Robinson is not very good.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Bogut was chasing a ring last year, what's he chasing this year?

Money.  Also, for sure he'll get his buyout at the end of February when the Lakers are out of it, so he can still go ring chase.
It will be funny if he signs again with Cleveland too. I think it will be good to keep the extra spot and see who is cut before the season starts.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I can't imagine Bogut is looking too good these days seeing how he can only latch onto a lowly team like the Lakers. He seems like an obvious choice for at least a playoff contender. Hopefully he doesn't shock the world and lift LA out of the basement.

This just seems odd for both sides.

seems more of a move designed to keep the their pick out of our hands in and in Philly's hands.

My reaction to Bogut signing with the lowly Lakers is the better teams must have passed on him.

Maybe he went to the team offering the biggest check instead of a vet min deal on a contender?

It's partially-guaranteed, probably at/just above the vet minimum.  If that's the best he could get... ouch
I'm bitter.

LA closest to Australia

Yeah, I think this is the takeaway.

Bogut is no longer a difference maker. He should be thinking about making more money and spending time with family. I'm not sure he cares all that much about winning (hence the move), so why not LA?
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.
