The closet comparison to Kyrie is probably IT.  Better handle, fewer FTs and more iso. But in terms of production and overall style, that's the best match I can think of.

Arenas had pretty good handles. Dont remember him being a great athlete .

Arenas never made noise in the playoffs either

What Kyrie has done in the playoffs (and at the highest level) is kobesque imo

Now he needs more rings to be at par but clutch execution at the highest level

Only a few in the league exist at the moment

Parker
Manu
Now Durant
Lebron (last shots no)

Wouldnt even put Curry at the same level

Curry is a better player and a better comparison to Irving than Kobe is.

Kyrie has NOT proven he can be an alpha who can lead a team to a championship like Kobe.

And honestly, Kobe played much better defense than Irving can ever play (I feel people here are really overrating this. Many just assume his defense will become Leonard-esque under Brad Stevens).

And we all saw how much people bashed Isaiah's 29/6 MVP-Caliber season because of the lack of defense...  :P

Kobe didn't play much defense during his campionship runs, he played the alpha attaker and rely on his bigs to cover the other area

Really?

Who has been better at the finals. Irving or Curry?

Who has played better defense in the finals?

Curry don't have his shooting numers without bogut's illegal screen or Durant/Klay to let him wide open, best shooter he is not

Did you miss that 2006 first round series between the Cavs and Wizards when Arenas AVERAGED 34 ppg?

As far as the Kobe comparison, no, imo.  The only attribute they share is their fondness for passing and involving their teammates (sarcasm).

Let's not insult Kyrie or become in the habit of comparing our guys to Lakers...
