Now I know this is something to ponder upon because that Warriors team was special..they won 67 games in the regular season and won the title under auspicious circumstances since Lebron was by himself in the Finals.
Lets break it down:

Curry was fantastic that season and emerged as the MVP of the season...the premise of this discussion is can a 25 yr old Irving even come close to what Curry did that season?. I say yes..Kyrie promised he will be unleashing himself on the league do we will find out soon enough.

Barnes was a young upcoming 22 yr old of im not mistaken but the talent was there and he broke out that season...Seems like if Jaylen can duplicate what Barnes did then it aint impossible to think since the athleticism and talent is there but we will see.

Thompson and Hayward will perhaps be a wash comparison since both are very very talented Small forwards and Im even more inclined to give the Cs the advantage here since Hayward has played the alpha role in Utah and is seasoned enough compared to a 24 yr old Thompson at that time.

Draymond vs Morris will be way more advantage for the Warriors and its probably not even close but in terms of height and versatility Id like to say the Stevens can still squeeze something out of Morris.

Bogut and Horford will be hard to compare since Bogut played his part and was the anchor of the defense in that Warriors team...surprised many by staying injury free that season..Horford I would not say is on the decline yet. He provides tremendous leadership and the screens he will provide to Kyrie will be the best Kyrie will ever see in his career. He also has a decent three pointer that Bogut does not provide.

Bench will be the key as in any team vying for the championship and ours is still an enigma of sorts but I would say that the bench of that 2014 Warriors was just sick. So advantage to them by a landslide but our bench will go as far as Marcus Smart can lead em...If MS does on the court what he preached in the ofseason program and conditioning and an improved three the league bettwr watch out.

In conclusion the 2014 Warriors team was stacked and won it all but that team still would lose by a mile to the current Warriors line up with KD...but its not beyond the realm of the impossible that our current core right now stack up pretty well with the Warriors of 2014...what do you guys think?

In what way are we anticipating that he will take "the big leap"?

I mean, are we talking about scoring more? More assists?

If scoring more than he did last year, is it through more shots taken?  Or through scoring more efficiently?

By 'big leap' do we mean he is going to score more than he did last year?  Or that he is going to score more than Thomas did?  Or both?

I'm just trying to get a handle on what a realistic expected "big leap" even means.

NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

I'm more concerned with whether they can beat the 2017-2018 Warriors in the finals if Kyrie can make a leap

Definitely not. Even if Kyrie becomes Steph, that Warriors team was so unbelievably deep, they'd be prohibitive favorites. We'd certainly have a chance, but not a great one.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Not even close. I have a hard time believing we will make the ECF this year, nevermind the beating GSW in the Finals this year or in 2014.

The 51 win 2013-14 Warriors, maybe.  The 2014-15 version, not so much.

And unfortunately the version we will be playing this year also has Durant and no one has declined save Iguodala.
