Yes. Paul pierce had some kids shoeline  that no one really remembers, rondo had a players edition of hyperdunks or huperfuse, and kg had some shoe line in China from anta. But none had a full blown shoe line and clothing line from Nike. Kyries shoeline is very high selling

Also to note, kyrie is very popular on social media. More ig followers than Durant, Curry, cp3, and a lot of players. He has 10 million instagram followers. That's 12 times as many followers as rondo. More followers than many famous actors and celebrities actually. 1 million, let alone 10 million is no easy feat even for celebrities

I prefer the style of kyrie shoes compared to other players. durant and Kobe shoes tend to not have any ankle support, and the style isn't nice. Lebron shoes have 40 straps and are heavy. The kyries are simple but nice

I like the design of the Kyries too but the cushion is absolutely brick like, I bought some Kyrie 2s once and I was forced to make them a casual shoe because I felt pain from hard landings while playing and felt sore for days after playing, and I'm a guard. I'd much rather get the LeBron solider line, where although they have a ton of straps they actually have good support, traction and cushioning. Also doesn't look too bad and aren't too heavy, if 14-15 ounces is heavy for your feet you must be an emperor lol.

Was it his FlatEarth shoe?  I think he has some new model coming out
They lacked arch support ;)
No he's having a Laker colourway out, it's called "Mamba Mentality", paying homage to the Kobester.

I was planning to get me some Kyrie's as well (the 3's look real good imo) but I sold myself on waiting for a new line to come out before shelling out some cash. Besides, I think the next one would be more...Celtic-y? Granted, I find it hard to match the green but idk. Let's see what happens!

It's a Bruce Lee colourway not a Laker one. Yellow and black with the trademark red cuts

This is the first time a Celtics player has had a signature sneaker, correct?
Didn't Larry Bird have a signature Converse Weapon line of shoes back in the 80s.

i think so
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Dee Brown's Reebok Pump Omni Lite immediately came to mind. He had probably one of the greatest on the court endorsements for a sneaker during the 1991 dunk contest.

Ah yes HK GOAT 😂. But the Bruce Lee colourway is a Kobe line trademark, this is a collaboration with the 2 lines.

Wait for the Kyrie 4s, they are going to be out in winter and I think there will be Celtics colours. Kyries are good shoes as long as you're light and don't need impact protection.

Yeah, that's the interesting part for me.  My son is a competive player just starting high school and I got him some hypershift Isaiah Thomas PE shoes and he didn't like them because the grip was not so good.  So I then got him some Kyries that he's been wearing for about six months.  Likes them much better and now, I guess they are even cooler.  Perhaps he'll come out with a Celtic theme in the near future.

That's the first thing I thought of also.  They weren't his personal line though, were they?

Agree with the posters who say to avoid the Kyrie's if you are heavy and need cushion.  I don't even play anymore but just standing on a hard surface at work for 20 minutes will have my feet hurting, so I don't really wear them to work anymore.  The Paul George's are much better, and the Lebron's feel the best to me.  I have tried on a couple pairs of KD's and never was impressed enough to buy a pair.

Did you do the custom design thing or just buy a standard pair?

I just designed and bought these. Decided to go with a Duke theme with the Tatum-Kyrie connection obviously.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Haha thanks. There will be Celtics colours on the Kyrie 3 though, so if you're unsure on the 4s you can go for them instead.https://sneakernews.com/2017/08/31/kyrie-irving-teases-new-nike-kyrie-3-celtics-pe-nba-2k18-trailer/

White shoe with a gigantic Kelly green Nike logo. Couldn't ask for more. I'll buy 10 pairs

Haha 10 pairs is quite a lot. I have said this quite some times but if you're a big guy or an explosive player it's best to not use this for ball or your legs will definitely hurt. If you're the average baller go for it. That being said hope you enjoy them!
