This is the first time a Celtics player has had a signature sneaker, correct?

Yes. Paul pierce had some kids shoeline  that no one really remembers, rondo had a players edition of hyperdunks or huperfuse, and kg had some shoe line in China from anta. But none had a full blown shoe line and clothing line from Nike. Kyries shoeline is very high selling

Also to note, kyrie is very popular on social media. More ig followers than Durant, Curry, cp3, and a lot of players. He has 10 million instagram followers. That's 12 times as many followers as rondo. More followers than many famous actors and celebrities actually. 1 million, let alone 10 million is no easy feat even for celebrities

I prefer the style of kyrie shoes compared to other players. durant and Kobe shoes tend to not have any ankle support, and the style isn't nice. Lebron shoes have 40 straps and are heavy. The kyries are simple but nice

Literally just waiting for Nike to drop a C's colorway. I've even asked them on Twitter.

Any word on what our two other jerseys are going to look like from Nike?

A black alt jersey with a Kyrie colorway to match would be a dream come true!

TP. I knew there'd be a sneaker head here somewhere.

Didn't Larry Bird have a signature Converse Weapon line of shoes back in the 80s.

I think the line was the Weapon.  The Bird was a colorway in that line.

Absolutely not. Bird and McHale had sigs. Kyries are great kid shoes but if you're a more explosive or heavy type of player don't get Kyries, the cushion will wreck your feet.
