Once we trade Horford, Brown, Rozier, and the LAL/SAC pick for Anthony Davis we will be ready to go  ;D

Like others have said, Horford is probably not part of the future "championship" core.

The IT/Horford era was short but fun.  Nice bridge to the future dynasty.

To be fair...the first installment of the new big 3 in 2008 also said that we ain't winning the title in yr 1 that could be due to chemistry issues or other factors such as ego or questions whether theyd mesh well together and guess what...we won it all on the very first yr which could have easily been 2 if not for the KG injury..
So id give the op props for predicting something bold...We all don't know how Kyrie will function as a leader but I am more inclined to say he will really mesh well with Stevens and rest of the gang.

I gotta say though - i don't see the fascination fans here have with Jaylen Brown. I saw glimpses of potential last year for sure, but top 10 player potential??? I'll be ecstatic if he turns out to be Gerald Wallace light. That's where i see his potential. Jayson Tatum, however, is a different story entirely. Top 10 potential for sure.

I like this core, but honestly I still think they're a piece away.

Keep in mind that Rondo/Allen/Pierce/Garnett is a much stronger core and only won one title.  We have more depth in a perfect world where all of our young players develop into positive factors... but both Garnett and Pierce were better players than anybody on our current team IMO.

guaranteed?? come on KGLL...

also, it's unclear what the core is. I wouldnt fall in love with guys like Yabusele and Semi. Tatum and/or Brown could be gone too if someone like A. Davis becomes available.

Not saying he'll ever get there, but Jaylen Brown has Paul George potential. If he reaches that -- and Tatum reaches his Carmelo Anthony potential -- well then, that's a heck of a thing.

Atlantic Division titles, sure.

Eastern Conference or NBA titles, nope.

Horford is next to go when Ainge calls for Anthony Davis one day.

Then your Boston Celtics will be winning multiple championships with that core.

THIS ^^^ IS THE END GAME

For Jaylen Brown's potential, I think Paul George is too high and Gerald Wallace is too low.  I peg him at Richard Jefferson.

Yeah I agree with you.  Too many posters acting like Brown is highly likely to be a star lately.  He could be a Gerald Wallace regular or a Richard Jefferson I suppose.  To me, they were fairly equal in their primes.

Horford, Hayward, Irving, Tatum, Brown, Smart, Lakers pick whether it's a draft pick or traded for a veteran. It's possible Yabu and Morris are part of the core as well.

Hopefully Horford will resign on a team friendly deal since we hooked him up huge. Hayward, Irving, Tatum and Brown especially and I hope to see Smart back on a reasonable deal. That core wins two rings minimum, and possibly four. Plus there is a key pieces that be will be added in the next two years.

I like the passion, why not!
