An athletic 26 years old big is a fine thing to have on the team but he is actually not all that big.  His measurements for height w/o shoes and standing reach are about the same as Marcus Morris:

Robinson:             6'-7.75"               8'-10.0"
Morris                  6'-7.00"                8'-9.50"

I think that has been Robinson's problem, not quite big enough to play center and not quite the right skill set to play PF.  I know, basketball is supposed to be position-less these days.  Doesn't seem we would want Robinson and Baynes on the court at the same time, maybe TRob and Horford for short stretches.  Seems like a tough fit even for Stevens to figure out.

Just curious as to where those measurements came from. He would basically need to be wearing high heals to go from 6'7.75" as you stated to 6'10", which is what I see everywhere else. No sneaker added 2.25" in height.
He is not 6'10.

NBA Draft Combine measurements as reported by Draft Express.   Draft express had him at 6'-8.75" with shoes and had him at 6'-9" as his listed or I guess playing height.  I think ESPN has him listed at 6'-10" but that is the whole point of my post.  Unless he has grown since the Draft Combine, we would not be getting someone the size of Al Horford, we would be getting someone more the size of Marcus Morris.  He is not all that big for a big.

Essentially an upgrade over Mickey.

He runs the floor well, hustles, and is quick and  a decent rebounder.

The problem is we signed some undrafted wing with our last roster spot, so I guess maybe not so much?

Thomas Robinson adds the perfect balance to this roster in terms of adding a level of mean. I would absolutely love this signing.

The thing I like most about him is his athleticism. I feel like most of our big men over the years have been flat footed or goofy. Even Amir Johnson, I would argue our most athletic over the years, lacked Robinson's level of athleticism.

Ainge, please do bring in this guy.
