I'm onboard - Robinson's never going to justify his draft position but he's still only 26 and a solid banger and rebounder who's bounced around mostly terrible teams for years. He could play a useful part as a role player for a good organization like ours.  Always reminded me a bit of a bigger Leon Powe.
Luckily his draft position doesn't matter any more, he has noone to justify it to.

I like him as a player but I'm not sure if it's the best use of our last roster spot. We have plenty of power forwards but we're Baynes or Horford to suffer an injury we have no cover whatsoever. I'd prefer to use the last spot on a true center, even if we never end up using him

Big fan of Thomas Robinson. Just think it's amazing that he hasn't stuck yet given his strong motor and work ethic.

Not sure what kind of minutes we could offer but if he's willing to sign, he's exactly the kind of guy we could use as a break in case of emergency big. Maybe with enough seasoning he could become something like what David West gave the Warriors last year.

Hard to get too excited about that.  I really like him coming out of college but wow.  After 5 years, his high water mark is 5 pts and 5 rebs.    Just shows you what a crap shoot even a top 5 draft pick can be.  5 seems to be his number, they should give him #5.

Worth a look though of course.  Maybe at 26, he will turn the corner.

in 11 MPG, and actually his high marks are 8 & 9 in 18 MPG

This is very exciting to me. I've felt that he could become something meaningful for a while now, and believe that his strengths (length, athleticism, rebounding, D) are all complements to what the C's have been lacking.

Brad Stevens would the the one to make him his best. That much is certain. Hoping vet min, 2 years with a team option in year 2.

Ainge is a GENIUS. Know why?

Once this Kyrie trade gets finalized, he will get Thomas Robinson.

Then Thomas Robinson will come up as "former #5 PICK" and Celtics fans will praise Danny for having Irving and a "Nets Pick" (#5 overall)

He has a career per36 of 13ppg and 13rpg.

If he can grab 3-4 rebounds in spot duty, I'll take it. Throw in a couple put backs or easy looks, he could earn some minutes.

I love TROB! I hope we sign him. He'd be very handy off the bench.

Seems like a good gamble and the type of move that a team with veteran stars can pull off.

Stevens will probably turn him into a player of the week or a $70 million contract guy or something.

and the team giving him that crazy big contract will immediately regret it. It's call the BS effect.

True. Or we could hope he has a great year and re-signs with us for the MLE!  ;D
