Is this really not getting done until Wednesday? This is excruciating!
life sucks and then you die.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Irving would be furious and maybe sit out the start of the season. I think it would be a disaster for Cleveland.

My preferences:
top option is to rescind that deal to get that pick back.
second best option is to do the deal as is
likeliest situation is that the C's throw in a second rounder
worst case is the C's throw in another first rounder or worse yet, Brown or Tatum

I think Cleveland should rescind the trade.  It makes sense for them if IT really is going to miss most of the season.

It also saves some face in that it justifies the initial leak that the injury was worse than appeared from Cs reports.

If the take it as is after all this drama, the Cavs will look dirty.

If the Cs cave and give anything extra, they will look like liars.  If they give anything of major value, this will change the NBA forever.

Per Woj: "The Cleveland Cavaliers could be inclined to complete their trade with the Boston Celtics for a late first-round pick or second-round considerations."

I don't care if we stand pat or give them 2nd round considerations but if that's all it takes, this trade simply has to be completed. 2nd round considerations mean very little to me at this stage.

I'm not sure who comes out of this looking worse, The Cavs or Adrian Wojnarowski...

I haven't seen any denials by either team of Woj's reports.

Cavs come out looking worse unless they kill the deal. Getting face-saving scraps at best from Ainge to keep Dan Gilbert from doing something stupid looks like the Cavs weren't negotiating in good faith when they asked for more. The Cavs might eek out a bit more, but everyone will look at them sideways going forward. The NBA is a closed ecosystem, which is why Hinkie got demoted and quit after p---ing off a bunch of people outside his own organization.

I haven't seen anyone backing up Wojo on these reports. This is a trade Wojo missed in the 1st place but seems to be in the center of. I think someone in the Cavs organization is feeding him stuff for Cleveland to use as leverage against Boston.

The Cavs are ruining any good faith that they have in the league by dragging their feet on a trade that they are going to do.
