Why can't we have nice things?!?

Jeez, first the Hayward announcement comes too soon and we have to sweat that out for several hours before it's finally confirmed.

Now everyone gets excited (or p---ed) about the Kyrie trade and then even that gets held up in limbo.

What the hell guys?!?  Can't we make any transaction and have it go through without all the drama??

What other team has this happen other than the Chris Paul/Lakers shenanigans from several years ago?

I'm not talking about the misfortune of having a star player demand a trade or leave in free agency.

I mean the seemingly yo-yo, rug-pull, now you see me now you don't, transactions that are "confirmed" and then fall apart and are up for grabs again.

Crazy to have two of them in one off-season, especially involving players of this magnitude.

Agreed, and also it's been a pretty bad week for the CITY OF BOSTON and it's sports too.

Patriots lost Edelman to ACL Tear and still need a better pass rush (Ealy unfortunately didn't work out)

And last few days Red Sox have gotten whooped lol (including on a day Chris Sale started). Luckily Yankees have lost a few games in the process so Sox still lead division (for now).

I don't think that the Hayward deal ever fell apart. I just don't think that their camp appreciated the leak. Gordo wanted to leave on his terms (Tribune article), and I don't blame him after watching how the country overreacted to Lebron's "decision". That being said, I don't think the Celtics were in jeopardy of losing him.

As far as I know, this deal hasn't fallen apart either. The Cavs (rightfully) want extra compensation after IT basically failed his physical. The Celtics still have a ton of draft picks. I don't think its going to take much to appease Cleveland. The BKN pick is still the biggest prize that that they will collect by trading Kyrie, so they have an invested interest in trading him to Boston.

In 2017, we have more clarity into the behind the scenes view of deal making. I think the only thing that really has changed is that the click hungry media wants to release info as soon as possible, even if the "news" isn't accurate.

right. this is been perhaps the most stressful and hotly debated, yet fun, off season i have seen from this team.

first, where do they land in the lottery? whom to pick? argue argue argue. stress, stress, stress.

second, the trade of #1 for #3 and the LA pick. argue argue argue.

third, Haywood in free agency, will he come here or not? stress, stress, stress.

fourth, the trade of IT for Irving. argue argue argue. and more argue argue argue.

fifth, will the trade of IT for Irving actually happen? stress, stress, stress.

and those are only thie highlights!!!!

whew. no one can accuse the celtics of having boring management.  ;D
