One of their second round picks to the deal because all this uproar is about Cavs trying to squeeze every single ounce of giving up Irving. Even though the Cavs don't deserve anything more. Then this whole trade will become even sillier.

I would prefer Ainge called their bluff, but as long as it's not Smart, Brown, Tatum, or the Lakers pick I don't really care what else we give them.

THIS ^

Everybody knew IT had a hip injury, that he might not be ready for the season, that it might require surgery, and that it could be a career lingering injury. That's why they got that overpayment in the unprotected Brooklyn pick.  The Cavs are acting like a holes and trying to finagle another player or pick knowing how damaging it would be for IT and Crowder to return to the team.  Aing needs to show some balls and stand firm.

The bigger issue for the Cavs is finding those points while IT is out. DRose isn't getting it done. They may have to bring on DWade sooner than they thought.

The C's hold all the cards. Ainge did it again. Give them a 2nd and tell them to go away. They got fleeced. Even Stevie Wonder knew IT had a hip injury. Next time have him take a physical before agreeing to the trade.

Bad move...you don't  feed the barking dog. Well, at least if you want it to stop barking.

Agreed.  IT's hip is a mess.  The Cavs have some desperation in their situation.  We are in the driver's seat.

I really hope it's nothing.  If it is nothing or a 2nd rounder, the deal really plays out (or at least you can look at it like this) as Nets '18, Zizic, and Crowder for Irving.  IT is either limited or out this year and next year signs with the highest bidder.   That is a fair trade for a disgruntled 25yo 4-time all-star.   It's a steal if the Nets win enough to get out of the top 5.
