...before that trade got killed. What's different is that it was mid-season right at the trade deadline.

And Ray chose to take less money that offseason and move on to the Heat.

If the Kyrie trade gets rescinded IT would come back here and get surgery and rehab and try to make a go of it in February/March. But I doubt the C's would even let him play.

They'd trade him to another team by the trade deadline for someone with similar salary and a late 20s pick. Someone like San Antonio might gamble on that as they're pick would be in the mid 20s.

Even farther back, a young Robert Horry was traded to the Pistons but had the trade voided when Sean Elliott failed his physical. And he did pretty well after that  ;)
