and is IT damaged goods? This reminds me of post-acl rondo

1. This explains shane Larkin being signed. The day he was signed was probably the day Danny was given the news that ITs injury is Serious business..
2. It also explains the trade. No one expected IT being a goner. Now we know why.

ITs style of play can be very physically demanding, and hips are sensitive areas and can be tricky... The cavs rethinking it means the hip is worse than any of us thought it was. Anyone remember that report a few weeks ago that "IT won't need surgery" and we all celebrated? Danny probably let that out to up the trade value one last time... It was BS I bet..lol

The real prize is the Brooklyn pick

They don't want to max IT when LBJ leaves anyways

Tell Cleveland to ****

the crazy part is the entire fan base of the nba says Cleveland won the trade. And they have the nerve to try to renegotiate

Of course not. If we thought that it was have trouble passing his physical, of course Cleveland would find it.

I thought there was a good chance once I heard Boston was asking about Kyrie. I was ready to do the trade before the news of the hip being bad.

Well they only "won" the trade if IT was healthy. As it stands now we are clear winners if the deal happens.

Huh ? He wasn't and isn't healthy. That's why he missed the playoffs. Yet people were saying they won the trade ?

How ? Irving is the far better player in the deal. Not even close, even with a good hip (which he doesn't have).

When he didn't have surgery many people (myself included) assumed it wasn't as serious as first thought. We can only go by what it shared through the media.

What if the Cs wanted him to have surgery and he was against it?

And then August rolls around, and he still isn't better. So Danny starts including him in trade proposals, and/or ups the ante by including the BKN pick.

It would shed a different light on the "heartless Trader Danny" narrative.

But wasn't everybody curious when Stevens dropped the "probably going to miss the start of the season" quote ?

Once I heard that, kinda knew something was going down.

Boston doctors had decided that Thomas' hip did not require surgery and prescribed a summer regimen of rehabilitation and rest.

Celtics general manager Danny Ainge, when asked whether Thomas' injury played a part in making the trade for Irving, told reporters: "Some."
