The Cavs want IT to go see a hip specialist and have their Dr's check him out. It would be really crazy if this trade is voided.

McHale said teams always waive the physical and let trades go through knowing that rehab will correct an injury. ​IT hasn't played all summer.

If The Cavs favorite part of the trade is the Nets pick, it might not matter. It would be really weird to have a major trade like this voided. I guess that Chris Paul business was pretty crazy but this would be nuts!

Especially since Kyrie would be back with Lebron and that Cavs organization after all the dirty laundry has been aired in public and they would have to scramble to get a deal done and figure out their PG situation before the start of the season.

Yeah that's the crazy/nightmare scenario here, especially because getting IT back means he almost certainly has a very poor prognosis.

But Cleveland seemed to have made the trade more for the Brooklyn pick than for IT, so I think it's unlikely they'd be willing to hand that back to us. Or take Kyrie back for that matter.

The Cavs want him to meet with a hip specialist and their doctors. I haven't heard that the trade is contingent upon this though.
