I agree Rollie, on all accounts but one.

You're dead on about opening up minutes, Hayward's fit, and unlike a lot of folks who hate the trade, I believe Kyrie is a definitive upgrade over IT.

But what I don't and can't agree with is giving up the Nets pick. IMO, that's a colossal mistake and Ainge could have done almost anything but that and I'd have been on board with it.

Totally get it.

The only thing I think is that they basically agreed that IT is not a max player on a champ and only has this one year; so a primo asset that picks up where IT leaves off, something to show for the trade, was needed. The pick in 2018 was perfect, and it likely HAD to convey in 2018 as IT expires (and Lebron leaves).im guessing that was something like their justification for demanding the pick, and Kyrie is special enough to be worth it.

That's the best I can do. I hope it helps.

How sweet it  would have been with two picks possible but the celts have some smart guys that see teams that will really fight to be at bottom with this loaded draft except the NETS-these other teams have huge incentive to stink, really stink and the quicker the better-
they just look at philly's path
The better these college guys play this year ,the more hype the more incentive to get the" turn around core piece"
The better jaylen and tatum play or lonzo ball, fultz, simmons and embid

Atlanta, chicago, new york nicks even LA-the only team that will want to win of non playoff teams are the NETS
The only thing the celts didn't do was protect the NETS pick-

Isaiah was not going to get THE BRINKS TRUCK
As compelling as his season was,as emotionally charged,as clutch in 4th quarter
WHAT IF isaiah misses early season or till new years how many games will the celts lose because of that
WHAT IF he comes back and then needs to have operation and misses the season-how many games would that cost-WHAT IF he comes back at less than 100%
i think Shane Larkin was insurance-as defensive schemes and offense was geared for
 THE LITTLE GUY
