they don't get to try and win next season because they would make their team significantly worse.  That is a terrible trade for Cleveland with Love included. Take Love out of it and it makes much more sense.

Why package Love in this deal? That's just bad asset management. And this trade is horrible for the Cavs. Yes, Kyrie wants out, but he's also locked in for 2 more years. They can salvage his value.

This would be a panic trade in the truest sense.

no. Irving isn't James. Many people would be fine trading him and think the Cavs might actually be better without Irving depending on what the trade actually is. The real concern is of course what this might mean to James
