Who do you think they sign with it?

Obviously you won't get a starter or star player from it, but I think they should definitely use it to add EITHER

1. Backup SG (with Bradley gone): PG (point guard) has Isaiah-Smart-Rozier for the most part. Who gets the 2 now? Hayward and Brown pretty much? Gerald Green comes back?

OR

2. Backup Big: We technically have some backup bigs now in Baynes and Zizic, but we could definitely use another depth piece there (even if he comes with limited offense... just get the dang rebounds). Bogut possible?

Teams always have the minimum salary, unless it takes them over the hard cap and the hard cap applies to them.

That said, I expect no veteran minimums.  Our one-year vet is Baynes.

Oh okay, makes sense. Thanks!

Yep, lets hope. Bird has looked really good lately.

Celtics finished adding sir

need to trust/roll with some of the young guys on the team. Even give them an opportunity to make an impact on the nba floor

I hope they sign a vet that has championship experience. Doesnt need to be a contributor on the floor (since I don't mind the young players getting more burn), but leadership in the locker room, especially someone who's been to the finals/won a ring, would help a lot I think.

2014 NBA Champion Aron Baynes is already on the roster
I'm bitter.

There is no limit to the number of vet min contracts that can be signed.

My understanding is we have 14 signed including Jackson who may not ultimately make the team.  I think any added guard would be a replacement for Jackson, not in addition to Jackson.  It seems to me the 15th slot is a big.  Could be Yabusele or a vet min player.

Then we also have two of the two way contracts.  Seems Semi Ojeleye gets one of these, not sure about the other one.

If they could afford it I wouldn't mind seeing Jackson waived and bring in Tony Allen or Arron Afflalo.

I would think Allen could replace some of Avery's defense. He also rebounded very well last year. Not sure about the shooting

I didn't realize he was a champion. Good signing then!

Tony Allen for the minimum would also be a steal.

This. They are 9-deep with players with NBA experience.  Add Tatum and there's a 10-man rotation.  Remaining slots for rookies.  If a spot is still available, leave it open to add another vet mid-season.

Brad's basketball philosophy is ball-handlers/wings/bigs.

He'll have his wings play the 2 if anything. He'll have his wings play the 4 also. Thas why Ainge targeted a lot of SFs the last couple of years.
