Yeah thats the stereotype of Celtics fans online, especially on Twitter.

I have no idea where this came from but it makes no sense.  We are such a great franchise so it gives fans of other teams something to say to p--- off us Celtics fans.  They can't make fun of our current team, or our future so they make up dumb stereotypes like this.

Our franchise was the first to have a black coach and even drafted the first black NBA player.

It just makes zero sense.  People are dumb.

Is it even possible to be a fan of an NBA team if you are racist against African Americans?

I mean, it's not like we haven't seen a hundred photoshopped Cs-Hayward pictures already, but I guess there is something comforting knowing that it is actually official and he chose to put the jersey on.

And gimme a break on the Boston racist crap. I get it, South Boston/Dorchester used to really suck and there are still a few winners kicking around (see St. Patrick's Day parade very recently not allowing gay veterans to march), but it has become a very progressive, educated, liberal city (as much as any). I think people would prefer there be more slums and crime to show some true authenticity.
