I've always liked flow charts that show net player movement.

From the end of the Pierce/KG era, how did we get where we are now?

Isolated BKN trade

Isolated Jeff Green trade

Isolated Rondo trade

Very nicely done.

One addition -- we received 2 future second-round picks in the Keith Bogans trade, who've turned into Abdel Nader and Kadeem Allen. So they should go in the Brooklyn Bonanza.

I would also strongly argue that IT goes there as well.  The Cleveland salary dump trade, as you call it, was only possible due to the Paul Pierce trade exception.

Oops you are right. Allen and nader are on the big one, but not the brooklyn only kne; missed them there. Will update.

I'll look into Pierce as well.

Bloody Brilliant!  TP.

You should offer this as a 3-hour seminar -- my head hurts trying to follow it all.

I think this is a very nice illustration for Ainges patience. He's willing to move a good player for what seems like a meaningless and distant pick 10 years later. But when he cashes it out it pays off

Jared Sullinger didn't turn into Marcus Morris. That was Avery Bradley.

If I remember right Danny said in an interview years ago that he realized when he first took over that he needed more pieces in order to do anything. Trading Walker for a bunch of pieces was an attempt to start building assets.

That's how we eventually had pieces to trade for Ray and KG.

KG and Pierce were flipped for more pieces, and those are just coming in. Trading 1-3 to add another piece is classic Danny.

But everyone expects the pattern to repeat of trading for stars, but he's signing them as free agents instead and has the luxury of high picks and the ability to keep them.

This really is amazing, so I hope that you take the additional correction as appreciation and trying to help create perfection:

In the Jeff Green trade, we never got Quincy Pondexter.  It was a three team deal -- we got Prince and the pick from Memphis, Pondexter went from Memphis to New Orleans, and we got Rivers from New Orleans.

And here's a blast from the past... one I made trying to capture the era from Danny's date of hire through the '08 championship.
