Can you summarize what he saw in the Heat?   

 

He liked some of their young players and organization.  It sounds like it was always Utah vs Celtics, then Miami as a curiosity he felt he needed to see through.

It isn't brought up but I wonder if Hayward isn't the first FA that seemed to weight going East into consideration (as you absolutely should).

I'm skeptical. If we'd taken the Cavs to seven, or made the Finals, I suspect that Hayward would still be here.

I agree. If we had somehow upset the Cavs then lost to GSW, the story would remain the same, that Hayward wanted to go to the Celtics to help them get past the Warriors and win a title.

I really could care less why he chose Boston. The reasons were important to him. I am just glad he did choose Boston. Can't wait to see him in Green next year.
