In summer league action.  And the Sixers curse with top draft picks continued.  Did DA also not like the medical reports? If so moving down for Tatum looks like an even smarter move!

He sprained his ankle. It's not like his old injury flared up. Come on. The only red flag is how he heals and if this lingers all year. Sprained ankles can be very tricky.

But just imagine celticsblog if we drafted Fultz with this injury and we saw Tatum, who a lot of fans wanted, looking like a young Carmelo and Paul Pierce. We'd have to talk people off the ledges.

Considering sprained ankles can happen to anyone I think this is a bit unfair. Good news is that he's not on crutches nor limping too heavily, so it seems that it's not too serious. Hopefully, for his sake.

Meh, an ankle sprain is an injury that can happen anytime to anyone playing basketball.

He rolled an ankle. I'm sure you've played basketball at some point and know how often that happens.

I never seen so much coverage for a sprained ankle. Espn sportscenter spent an hour discussing if the sixers are cursed, all the talking heads mentioned it... Insanity and overdramatic over a common ankle sprain

Are you suggesting that Fultz's career is over?

I get that the #1 pick (especially a Sixer) suffering an injury is a big deal, but this really is nothing. This is probably the hundredth time Fultz has sprained an ankle, and he'll likely do it a hundred more times. Frankly, a (non-high) ankle sprain is about the most mild and commonplace injury you can suffer while playing basketball.

The guy sprained his ankle.  They'll have to put him down now.

Another great call be Ainge. Sometimes you just know a guy is going to have his Summer League career cut short due to injuries. I'm not building my franchise around a guy succeptable to ankle sprains, let alone take him with the top pick.

I'm calling it now, Fultz may go down as one of the biggest Summer League busts of all time. Maybe Philly should sit him the entire regular season, get that ankle healthy, and let him have another crack at it next summer.

Not even a high ankle sprain so he's only going to be out a couple weeks.  The cursed part isn't even logical nonsense.  Noel and Embiid were injured before the draft and it was expected that they would miss their first season.  That is the only reason they dropped down in the draft so the Sixers were able to draft them.

I watched a few of his SL games and I think we dodged a bullet with out the ankle sprain and I am glad we took Tatum.   Fultz produces and has some skills but largely empty stats that do not lead to wins.  In the game vs. us he deferred to other players in crunch time while Tatum stepped us and showed the clutch gene.   Philly has some talent but they have a lot of guys who do not know how to win.  That is why they got Amir and JJ to try to show them, I suppose.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
