So far 29/31 people have voted and said 55 or more. High expectations from most fans. Lets all pump the breaks a little bit. We are setting ourself up to be disappointed. It's hard to win 55+ games

I mean, we won 53 games last year in a pretty injury-plagued season, and we got significantly more top talent AND overall talent (depth), while the East as a whole got significantly worse.

I think it'd be a disappointment if we won fewer than 55 games this year. Personally, I think it's 60 or bust for this team. Barring injuries, there's no reason we shouldn't win 55 - 60 games next year. We have much more overall talent now, and we fit better and are much more balanced than last year.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

All of that is true. I feel like them winning 53 games last year was over their head. If IT doesn't go beserk in the 4th quarter how many would they have lost? We were close to getting swept by an 8 seed as well.
The Celtics have gotten much better, but may take time to gel, IT could bring drama with this contract, there surely will be a few injuries. Cavs only won 52 games last year and we all know how good they are. It is tough to win all the games a team is suppose to win in an NBA season.
I am just saying that some of these expectations are a little too much. When 95% of the posters are saying over 55 wins, it makes me think that the cool aid is a little to strong around here.

Cavs are good, but if Boston was a #1 seed and Cleveland was the #2 seed today...then this series does not end in 4 or 5. And there won't be any marginal blow out games in Boston against them.

It will be a bar fight lol.

8 or 9 new players in is a lot of change to manage. Better talent though and better roster balance. More shot makers, but still require better bigs which we will get next year via the draft or trade.

55 wins, but whatever the number, we'll be a better team. Basically have moved from a very good team to a pretender. Contender 2 years away. Cavs and Warriors have capped out, but we're still have very good talent on cheap rookie contracts.

55 seems about right to me. 60-62 is possible, but a lot of things have to go right in order for that to happen - much better health than we had last year, very few growing pains acclimating the new players, and very few unlucky breaks at the end of games (like what happened at Phoenix last year). Also, there could still be a trade or two between now and training camp which may impact this total. Also, while it would likely benefit us in the long run, we could have some frustrating losses during the regular season as Stevens tries to expand the roles of Brown and Tatum.

Frustrating losses like against Brooklyn, Lakers, and Chicago sigh

55 for me. Hopefully still enough to get the 1 seed. We outperformed our point differential last year, I think it'll improve but we'll regress to the mean. Trips out West are going to be brutal as well and we have a lot of new guys to mix in.

52 wins.

The east got a lot weaker, after all.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

56 wins.

Now people who voted 65+ wins must be crazy LOL. Even with a weaker East.

I need to hear more about the health of IT before I make this prediction.

He's not working out, he's not tweeting, I'm wondering if we'll see the IT we all know and love come October.
I don't think the Celtics benefit from a cautious IT.

Everyone has said in the last week (Brad, Ainge, and I think IT) that he doesn't need surgery and will be ready to go in October.
