The trial itself most likely won't impact the season. Any potential sentence and accompanying suspension could.

Let's say worst case scenario, they go to trial and are found guilty. That's a 10 game suspension, which would suck. But jail time for guys with minor records and a strong support system would likely be negligible, especially since there have been no bail violations.  At worst, I'm thinking a 3 year sentence, with the vast majority suspended contingent upon probation. Any jail time would probably be stayed until next summer.

More realistically, this probably gets pled down to a misdemeanor and the victim gets a monetary settlement.

Old news, and just the media putting out old stuff and trying to make a story out of it.

Lol the guy is "suffering from PTSD" from the incident. ::)

I love how these things are always so overdramatic and exaggerated to try and get the guy as much money in a settlement as possible.

Mike Scott is still in the NBA, right?

Marcus will be fine.

Pro athletes get into legal trouble like this all the time, and for better or worse, they always seem to come out unscathed.

I full expect Marcus to get suspended for 10 days.

I blame his brother.

Did you look into the Mike Scott dismissal? Those cops were crooked as hell.

I didn't realize it was dismissed.  I just remember that he was charged with taking illegal guns over state lines, which seemed like a pretty major thing to come away from with no jail time.
