Too early to be labeling anyone a bust. BTW how can anyone shoot 2 FG while scoring only 2 points? Is this FIBA 3x3?

After reading that Žižić thread, man would think that Lonzo won't see a minute on the NBA floor.
Advice: chillout on the small sample sizes, especialy those made in the SL.

He had 5 points.  He was 2-15, but 1-11 from 3 for 9.1 % from deep.   He also added 4 rebounds 2 steels and a block.

Welcome to the NBA 3 point line Lonzo, NBA Big Ballers can make those

Looks like 4 of the top 5 draft picks had impressive summer league debuts.

I think the learning curve will be a steep one for Lonzo. Adapting to the size and athleticism of the NBA will be difficult for his play style on offence - meaning his reliance on deep threes to bailout his lack of mid-range shooting.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

SL means nothing. Of course, we get hype when our guys look good, that's what fans do but it doesn't mean it will translate. Not every good NBA played well in SL.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

His Dad's hype has helped promote him get to the NBA.   He was a great college player.   Time will tell, how he does.   The hype machine will be a double edged sword now, he is paid to produce and people hold pros more accountable.

Highest bust potential of the top prospects.

Still it's summer league and his 1st game.

His defense matched his offense, which is to say he was very poor.

Still, one SL game, so foolish to extrapolate much. He is a laker, I hope he fails.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Agree with all above.

5 assists is good, that's supposed to be the best part of his game.

he ll go Jason Kidd on the Celtics .

We have no guards on the summer league team worth a flip .  He'll feast.

Ball. will go crazy with nobody to guard him.

I'm torn between wanting him to succeed and wanting the Lakers to be terrible.

I think his game has a high bust potential, but I want him to succeed because if he doesn't his dad screwed him out of a lot of money.

Not sure he's more than a role player in the NBA

Not saying that SL is the end all be all, but I remember Ainge using Rozier's SL performance last year as a reason for why he'd play more minutes during the 2016-2017 season. There's a reason why the coaches and GMs attend these games you know.
