It doesn't matter how I feel about it, I just want it to work for us! Go Celts!! Hell, I don't like a lot of the things that have gone down over my time as a Celts fan, when they first happened. The thing is, Danny had ended up being right on most of his moves, especially on trades so I will give him the benefit of doubt and move on!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

People need to turn their frowns upside down and realize the team is going to be great next year (i wouldn't be surprised if they were close to 60 wins), and excellent in the long term. The Celtics are going to play a great brand of basketball that is currently the most effective style in the NBA.
So here's my hot take: if this team plans to start Morris at PF, they will win fewer games next season than they did last season.
highly unlikely due to the shiftiness of the Eastern conference.

People have been predictingg the Celtics would regress every year since we snuck into the playoffs at 40-42.

Maybe this year's the year they are right. I tend to doubt it.

Barring injuries this is a 60 win team....
Given that we're already injured, I'm not sure how you're "barring injuries".

I know it must be cathartic in some sick way for you to be Debbie Downer, but can you at least restrict yourself to facts? There's absolutely zero indication yet that Isaiah will miss any games to start the year.

Don't necessarily hate it, but I certainly don't like it.

- Didn't want us to trade Bradley
- M. Morris and Horford may be the worst rebounding duo (PF-C) in the league
- It's higly likely KCP ends up in Brooklyn which hurts our Brooklyn 2018 pick (perhaps the most valuable asset we have right now)
- I know it's not a big deal, but why on earth did we give the Pistons a second rounder? I mean, Bradley for M. Morris straight up would have been bad enough.

I think it's pretty safe to say we 've lost the trade. For what it's worth, most Pistons fans believe we got fleeced.

At the end of June, Ainge said Thomas was doing better but surgery still wasn't ruled out for later in the offseason.

While everyone hopes he will be ready for camp, I just don't see it given that you don't even have a conclusive plan for treatment yet.

You're not even worth responding to substantively. If you're gonna spam the board with gratuitous negativity, I'm gonna spam your comments with Debbie Downer pics.

Sure, let's just all ignore reality and sign kumbaya. Maybe that will heal IT's hip.

I really wish we could start a new poll and leave the 'mixed' option out of it.

We all understand that AB had to be moved or we risked losing him for nothing. Also, one of AB/Crowder/Smart had to be moved anyway. I don't think anybody is psyched we no longer have AB on the roster. Was there anybody who didn't at least like AB? Everybody's  answer should be 'mixed.'

Morris is a decent player at a position of need on a great contract. We couldn't have asked for much more since something had to be done.

In answering the question as it should be asked, I went with 'love.' And AB might have been my favorite Cs player.

Ask your doctor to up the dosage on your antidepressant.

I love this trade.
We get to keep Crowder and Smart, and we get Morris.
We are no longer the 90 lb weakling of the NBA.

Is this your best shot? I'm disappointed.

I was going to vote mixed for similar reasons to others - 'it had to be done'. I wish there was another way and I hate that AB won't be in green. Hate.

As I've said these last days, after signing Hayward with no cap space, we had ZERO leverage in trades. People held the opposite, but it was clear we had to make a deal soon and that's why the Jazz wanted to receive Crowder with no assets in compensation.

So we had to make the first "just bad" trade around there.

(Morris is) on a great contract. We couldn't have asked for much more since something had to be done.
Worst case scenario (if no other deal was available), we could have traded AB for a future pick (4 years of cost control instead of 2).

Morris is a decent player at a position of need
I 'd be OK if we 'd given Morris's playing time (and starting role) to Tatum.

Bradley was going to command a lot of money next year. He would walk away for nothing.

I thought Ainge did the right thing and traded him now and get a friendly contract and a position of need filled.

Although we may have downgraded at SG, we've got an array of players who can slot to the 2. 1 and 2 interchangeably or 3 and 2 interchangeably.

His defense and presence will be missed, but in this league nowadays, you win with multiple talents on your team. Particularly on offense.

I'd much rather see us trading AB for a future pick (4 years of cost control instead of 2).

Depends on the future pick. Morris is a win now option on a rookie scale-like contract. I don't think teams were lined up to give us a lottery pick for an expiring AB.

I also hope Tatum (and Brown) get lots of playing time...but I want them to earn it. There is so much promise between them.
