Yes. He'll have a role on this team going forward. He's raw but we that from just watching his highlights.

Could be the altitude. He certainly looks a lot better the first few minutes of the game.

It's too early to tell.  My hope is that he turns into a Steven Adams, who did almost nothing his rookie year (3.3 pts, .503 fg%, 4.1 reb, 14.8mpg), so I'll hold off judgment for at least a year.

I confess that I have been getting excited about Zizic and got my hopes up on him.  Not surprised that there is a splash of reality coming out of the blocks but I am surprised at what the issues seem to be.

It sounds like he is not in shape.  I have not seen much of the SL games and none of his play.  Reports are that he is slow and looks winded all the time.  The elevation is an issue but I am a skier and it only takes a few days to acclimate to that level of elevation.  You could blame one game on that but not more.

If conditioning is the issue, he better get to work before he reports to Waltham for training camp.  i am certainly not giving up on him though.  I like the reports of good hands and some other things.  i would rather he be slow afoot than have slow hands/reactions.  It would be nice if he could run the floor but it is not deal breaker for a guy his size if he has good hands and some shooting touch.  You can be slow and still get your hands on the ball and score some points.

In his defense I will say that he had a very long season compared to his peers and the leap to the NBA is a challenge itself. Give him some time and believe in him. He is a hard worker with good mentality, he will breakthru at one point.
He better get ready for more of the same though, because the NBA season is twice as long as all the competitions in Europe taken together.
You understand that he is the only guy, along with Jaylen, that played serious basketball last year? He played 65 games without SL this year already. Also, European competitions (cups, int. competitions, home leagues combined) actually last longer than the NBA season.

I haven't judged him yet.  He looks out of shape to me.  Gets visibly winded after only a couple of minutes on the court.  We aren't going to see what he is as a player until he gets in the workout room for a while.

When he's fresh, I've seen some things that I like.  Active in the paint and on the glass, runs the court on both ends.  Willing screener, good enough hands to be a useful P&R big.  Willing defender, seems to have solid awareness on that end even if his feet lag behind right now.  Rudimentary post game reminds me of Perk - will score a few baskets due to his size if required, but very mechanical and none too quick.  I doubt he'll ever be a major offensive option.  And I expected that.

Footwork needs work.  I've seen multiple instances when he tries to make a quick change of direction - especially on defense, trying to switch from the perimeter back to the paint - and trips over his feet.  That said, he's actually more of a deterrent around the rim than I expected.  He's a big dude, and his length will change a lot of shots even when he's a bit out of position.

I don't see high upside in him, and he has a lot of work to do to be a useful NBA player.  But his physical tools and skillset are something we sorely need, and he's probably going to be thrown in the fire this year before he's ready for it.  We don't have the depth to let him sit unless we make some significant changes to the roster.  It's up to him to improve into a contributing player as the year goes on.

Honestly not.  I do like his hustle and expected to see that.  What has surprised me is how raw he is, lack of a handle and I expected him to be stronger.  He has been getting pushed around.  He is a very good rebounder and will help in that aspect but I think he is too raw to play more then 10 minutes per night.

Who was it that said if Zizic was coming out this year he would have been a top 10 pick? Because that person's ability to judge talent must suck. Zizic seems to be exactly what you would expect from a very late 1st round pick, lacking talent or lacking athleticism or both.

People here have unreasonable expectations. Zizic is NOT a solution to the the PF/C problems. He is a hard working close to the basket bruiser who could give 10 15 mins off the bench. That is all.

He looked quicker in Europe it could be the altitude. It is not a sea level he is a big  :)guy or i watched alot of his tape-and he was known for his motor
If Zizic is that slow for real -send him back to Europe or to hoop house where Tatum and Semi
trained-
Out of the whole lot all i would keep is Semi and Nader.

Bc most players in Europe sukk

Half of the SL players will be going over there and most of the time end up becoming the top players

You sure know european basketball........

Your excitement about yabu based on his chinese league stats is funny ....

Did you watch him play some D league games last season?

Watch that 1st...

I m sure he was as good as mickey was.

Stronger, better shooter...watch the games 1st before talking gibberish

Mickey was the better player in those games! Hahahaha
