It is pretty well known that the West is loaded and more talented that the East. I wanted to make sure that the talent distribution narrative is true in that measure. I understand that ranking the players is a subjective thing, but I think that a general consensus could be made for top 30, 40 and 50 (40 and 50 are separated).

East

Lebron                 Kyrie
Love                    IT4
Giannis                Wall
Horford               Hayward
Beal

Kemba                Kristaps
Dragić                 Embiid
Derozan              Lowry

K. Middleton         A. Bradley
Melo                    Drummond
(next in the line: KCP)

West

Durant               Curry
Klay                   D.Green
Kawhi                Aldridge
Harden              CP3
Jokić                  Milsap
Westbrook          PG13
Blake                  KAT
Lillard                 Gobert
Davis                 Cousins
Jimmy                Conely
M.Gasol

Bledsoe            D. Jordan
B.Lopez            McCollum

G.Hill                J. Holiday
Iguodala           Dirk
H.Barnes          Wiggins
(next in the line: Booker)

top 30 East 9: West 21 (30%:/70%)
top 40 East 15: West 25 (37,5%:62,5%)
top 50 East 19: West 31 (38%:62%)

So, by my count, 60-70% of the league's top talent is in the West.
East is wide open for us for years to come.
